This is a long 2 parter folks buckle in and please read to the end That said I will tell you about my experience in the past and the one I just had with Ashley an employee. Mind you I have only been in the stores twice. Once 7month ago and once now. Letâs start with the first time I came to the store, I was immediately greeted by associate after associate etc.and finally (call her âMayaâ. I was already irritated by the bombardment of the pressure sales, âNever let the customer leave without a sale, and if you made a confirmed sale always try to upsellâ, I worked in all sorts of sales so I easily saw tactics the employees were using. I could not get a minute to my self, they would not leave me alone to browse and pick out a few favorites to get more information when ready. because there always was a new feature, sales, and donât forget about that financing!I left with nothing, due to the negative feeling in the store, like the pressure, my guess is they have a quota to make and once theyâve hit that quota they start making a small commission (I worked in various types of sales and was really good at it for 15 years so itâs an educated guess, but that adds extreme stress to the salesperson which ends up making the customer feel uncomfortable like they HAVE to buy something then leave feeling guilty when they donât because they were just browsing, or want to buy but needs to know how much to save up because financing may not be an option for them, I left as quick as I could. But onto todayâs visit (technically it was yesterday) i went in to give Ashley another try and as I walked in I was kindly greeted by Zach with a warm smile. And asked if there was anything specific I was looking for. I said Iâm going to browse for a bit but if I have any questions Iâll come to you and he replied âtake your time and educate yourself on the products, that way I will be able to steer you in the direction that is best for you (rarely have I heard a salesperson honestly say I just want whatâs best for you.) so I told him I need a new couch for my game room, preferably a couch with recliners. I was by myself my husband was at home (which meant there was no way I was buying today). So I asked him to show me what he would get in my situation (I have chronic pain in my back and tailbone.) letting him know that that couch would be where I would be spending most of my day. He showed me 3 different couches. They all had an electric recline feature, some had a headrest recline feature. The arms of the sofa opened up for storage and the middle console came down creating a table then the middle head rest raises up and there are two led lights pointing at each side. Some had seat warmers and air massage and even lighting under the couch. But Zach treated me like a friend asking me questions about the couch like how much time I spend on it how comfortable should it be. He truly tailored the experience to my needs and wants. He knew I wouldnât be buying that day especially because I didnât have the dimensions of the roomđbut because of his customer service and honesty, in a few months when we are ready to purchase I will make sure that Zach is my salesperson. He knows his facts (if he does not know the answer to a question you have about the product he will go out of his way to find the answer), not pushy, gave me my space unless it was a quick check I or I came to him. If you are coming to this store ask for Zach. NOBODY there but him will actually educate you about the product you are interested in or create a wish list for you, and especially pay attention to your needs and aesthetics in a piece of furniture. Zach is the rare âperfectâ sales person. He realizes that the sale might not happen that day, but you know what you want and how much to save (if youâre going to have to save) when you leave. When I come back to buy that couch it will be with Zach. This is a true salesperson: finds out their wants and need, price point, amenities, etc building rapport resulting in repeat customers. Zach if you are reading this you are THE star...
Read moreI was going to skip reviewing but I received several communications from Ashley furniture asking for a review. My partner and I went to Ashley furniture to look at couches in the Lynnwood location. Pretty light on people that day but workers seemed to all be helping customers. Walked around and saw a lot of couches. They have a great selection. I made the mistake of sitting on a couch and a female employee with a headset gave me a disgusted look. So I got up thinking we werenât supposed to try out the furniture but saw others trying out the furniture. Walked around a bit more and found a couch I liked. I attempted to get the attention of another female employee sitting at a showroom station on her phone. She made eye contact with me and shook her head and gave me a nasty look before going back to her phone. My partner and I then tried going to customer service up front. I tried getting the attention of another female employee at the service desk with dyed red hair and facial piercings. This employee seemed to ignore me then made eye contact with me and also gave me a nasty look and went back to her computer. My partner and I decided to leave, I said out loud next to the service desk employee âI donât think the employees want us in here.â She should have been able to hear that but no response from the employee. I took this as a confirmation. My partner needed to use the restroom, so alone in the lobby waiting for him to return I tried a last effort to get an employees attention. But the sales people were now about 10 feet away from me to my left in a group talking to each other. Some glancing at me but all in all ignoring me. While the red haired service employee on her computer to my right kept glancing at me long enough to give me dirty looks and returning to her computer. My partner returned and I decided to just go back and take a picture of the couch so I could order it online. But found out it was 100 more online so online was not a option In walks the hero now. An employee name Hassan actually spoke to me and we had a conversation. My brain had basically shut down at that point due to a long day and feeling so uncomfortable in the store. But he was able to help me, get pricing, and make a profile. I ordered the couch with full delivery and install and he even got me to buy the warranty. He literally just be speaking to me like a person made me comfortable enough to do the purchase in store. Hassan got pulled into a meeting and another older gentleman assisted in finishing my order. He was also very nice. Unfortunately I do not recall his name. Hassan was 5/5: Hero of our story! Order Handling and Delivery was 5/5: Very professional! Store Experience 1/5: I would not recommend the Lynnwood location based on my visit. Other Ashley stores should be considered before going here. I donât plan on returning to this location but I would try other Ashley locations in the future. Couch 5/5: Itâs what I wanted! Ashleyâs does have a great inventory.
Only thing I can think of as to why this all happened is maybe I donât look like normal clientele. I was wearing a Lilo and Stitch shirt. So maybe if Ashleyâs reads this find me on the cameras and verify...
Read moreI have been a longtime customer of Ashley furniture, and I have to say that this location is probably the best Iâve ever purchased with.
I had recently purchased two leather couches and there were some complications that happened with them over the course of two months after purchasing them. I had two separate claims happen and in the end, there was nothing else that could be done unless I went and pleaded my case to the store.
The sales manager Mike, Nancy at the front desk, Ricky, Robbie, and Doug are some of the nicest people Iâve ever experienced at the furniture store. They were eager to help me and found a way to have my couches taken care of. Itâs also worth mentioning that Johanna at customer service was absolutely fantastic and if it wasnât for her, I wouldnât have been able to be helped like I was. I just want to say thank you to the team there at Ashley furniture and continue doing the great work that you guys do!
UPDATE: I came back to get an adjustable bedframe replaced for one that was delivered incorrectly, and I just have to say that again I am 100% pleased and satisfied with the service I was given in the ease of being able to get the mistake corrected. Again, Nancy at the front desk is such a joy to talk to and extremely helpful. She should definitely be store director, Iâm just saying đ Ricky was my sales associate this time around and he was super helpful, and with a little bit of his help and persuasion, I was able to upgrade my bedframe to something even better. I definitely love the store!
And especially thank you to the two ladies at the front desk. Nancy and the other (canât remember her name) they were super persistent, super helpful, and extremely patient. As was Robbie.
Itâs nice knowing that you can walk into a furniture store, spend $3000 to $4000 on something, and if the request is realistic and reasonable, that the furniture store has your back and will get...
