Domino's Pizza — Restaurant in Lyons Township

Domino's #2863 at 8538 Ogden Ave in Lyons, IL delivered the wrong order and refused to make it right.

I ordered one cheese and one pepperoni pizza. When I got home from work—around 2-1/2 hours after the delivery—my babysitter said the kids wouldn’t eat the food. I checked and found they had sent one bacon & sausage pizza and one chicken & bacon pizza.

I called the store, and the manager admitted they made a mistake. Yet he refused to refund the order or offer a credit. Instead, he tried to blame my babysitter for opening the boxes and claimed it was now my fault. He said fixing the issue would go against company policy—something that makes no sense if the error was clearly theirs.

The manager was rude, dismissive, and completely unwilling to take responsibility.

Food is great as always why I rate it as 1* only? Here is the reason - right on their property there is a broken 6" PVC clean out with extremely sharp edges my son fell into and instead of dinner with pizza we ended up in ER and 6 stiches. Swimming he loves, is over for him this beautiful summer. Anyway what disappoints me the most, is that no Domino's after I emailed them complaint with pictures troubled themselves to contact me nor location itself fixed this issue - I visited them 2 days after - pipe was still there! It takes a hammer and 30sec to knock sharp PVC down and cap it off! I was informed that landlord needs to fix it, I hope nobody will get hurt in there and this dangerous trap will disappear shortly. I don't know why the 3 topping pizza for 7.99 is only available for pick up and not delivery. I placed a substantial order and as long as I was having it delivered, they could have brought the special too. For the most part, I have been quite satisfied with my previous orders. I would like to see larger pieces of green pepper and onion when ordered, since they are cheap as compared to meat additions. I would like the opportunity to have extra onions and since they are so cheap, an additional charge wouldn't be necessary, I think ! I noticed that SALADs were available on my last online order. I thought I'd try it. When delivered, it looked appetizing but it was small like a side salad when ordering at a local restaurant as compared to a dinner salad.
