P J Klem's Restaurant & Banquet Hall — Restaurant in Lyons Township

I went here for a cotillion at the banquet which is behind the restaurant. They have plenty of parking, wheelchair accessible too. I can't speak for the restaurant part but assume its just as good if not better. Banquet hall itself was decent sized. They did have two separate washrooms for fe/male. Decor seemed a bit outdated but still nice overall. Food that was picked was I believe chicken soup to start off with, not too bad and bread basket along side which wasn't too appetizing. Then plain salad with some type of oil/vinaigrette which was amazing! I didn't try the chicken but was told was plain, they had some other choice of meat but was off putting so didn't try that either. They served white rice which I particularly liked and steamed veggies along with some plain mostaccioli. They did off pizza for the kids but adults ended up finishing it....that was my favorite to be honest. Seasoning on it was perfect as was the crust, crunchy yet soft! I guess one would have to know the food to be able to pick for a banquet but again restaurant serves the same thing so I recommend this place if anything...

I found this restaurant online and decided to give it a chance since it was highly rated. However when I went in to purchase my food the prices are different than what they charge in the restaurant. I ordered the rise and shine 2 eggs with bacon and it comes with either choice of hash browns or fruit and 2 pancakes or toast.

Price on their website is 5.25 was charged 7.50 by the older man that was answering the phones. I then called him and asked did the prices change and he told me that according to what I ordered the price was right. So basically he makes his prices as he goes. He says as much as I got the prices were fair and then cut me off and hung up the phone.

This is not right at all. You can’t just charge someone based on how you feel the price should be or is it based off something else? Is it because I am female or was it because I am black? If it’s listed as one thing you can’t just make a guesstimate.

I'm just describing one experience, but around 40 experiences. The food is made in the restaurant and is not frozen. Because of this, you'll get different styles of cooking when you order something. Nonetheless, the food is always appetizing and there is a wide range of food for both breakfast and dinner. Great deals accommodate for people not wanting to spend a lot. (EX: The "WOW" special on the breakfast menu, which I recommend[Only on Friday]) One thing that they're also known for are their pizzas, and I've only had their BBQ pizza. That was pleasing to me as well. I personally think they have good soups too. On Friday, a mean Navy Bean Soup is their soup of the day. Not to mention they have a banquet hall. OVERALL: GREAT!
