Smilin Goat — Restaurant in Lyons Township

Bartender and owner are great; no question about it. Slots are independently owned, and I wish i was recording. The last oldie slot remaining now bugs out in a self caring way, almost as if intentional. I've seen the reels spin at different speeds and even lag on the final drop and maybe land on the next one. But it's the first time I've ever had a slot slow down, freeze , reels spin BACKWARD, then back to forward for an obvious loss on that spin. Machines has just been serviced, so who knows how legit that independent slot owner runs his show, but that oldie machine has definitely convinced me not to visit for a slot play again, which replaced the great pool table. Will be back for the great people, though.

Matt and Kimmy are quick to serve you a cold beer and make sure you're being taken care of. Good regulars, keep it chill and familiar. Don't complain about food times as bartender is the cook; if there is an order, they take their time to cook everything right and run back to serving drinks. Don't forget to tip. These people actually remember...

Carded me, scanned my i.d. into the system and scrutinized it for a full minute at 12:10 this afternoon. Went for lunch with two co-workers, used the bathroom first, and before I was given a menu or even asked if I'd be drinking, they ask for i.d. Considering the fact that I'm 34 years old, I wasn't planning on drinking, and I had just been allowed entry to their establishment by a bartender on her smoke break, I'd left my purse in the vehicle and had to retrieve said identification. WE ARE THE ONLY PATRONS BTW!! The vibe was off. I left my cohorts inside to have lunch, but I won't spend my money with such unpleasant and uncertain surroundings. Idk. Maybe they would've been nicer if I was a white male like my buddies... "If you're black, we're watching you" type of...

Great neighborhood bar where you can relax and habe a good time. Awesome owner and staff. The menu is on the small side but the food is always good. There's never any trouble and that's why we've been coming here for...
