This place serves a little bit of everything and they do it great. They have good prices on menu. Staff is fast and attentive. Ordered the chilaquiles with a side order of carnitas. The chilaquiles are not made in typical Mexican way but work well with the hot sauce and cheese. With the added carnitas, it goes over the top. Tastes so good and has the right amount of spice kick. Their scrambled eggs are delicious. They are creamy but not too much. Also had the nutella French toast, took a chance on this. Totally works for that sweet tooth. Had been going there for dinner and now a regular for their breakfast. Give it a try, won't disappoint.

We decided to stop in and try this restaurant today. It's super close to our house. When looking at the restaurant it doesn't have much curb appeal but it's your basic hometown style restaurant. We entered the restaurant and it was full. We waited only a few minutes to get a booth as someone was leaving. The menu has a lot of choices. I got the basic 123 breakfast: egg, hash browns, Greek toast and bacon. My boyfriend had a classic burger that came with a bowl of soup, soup of the day was cream of potato, and fries. We both enjoyed our food. Staff was friendly and attentive. We will go back for breakfast again.

Ordered quart of soup. Received no crackers nor rolls, had to ask for it only to receive 5 packs of crackers. Guys said they haven't ordered rolls. Get home and container used was dirty literally dirty on the lid. Pictures added

Found this little gem in Lyons on a Google search for a different service. My partner and I enjoy visiting new breakfast places and as the Egg Beater Cafe is only a little over two miles from our home, we went there at the first opportunity which was around 8:30AM on a Friday morning.

The eatery is situated off 47th Street and is easy to find. The place is clean and comfortable, and our server was friendly and efficient. There is the usual type of breakfast menu and the prices are the lowest that I have come across for a while. The food however is top quality: I had the American skillet with ham bacon and sausage as the meats. It was probably the best skillet of that type that I have ever had. My partner's meal was equally impressive. Looking forward to trying their lunch menu. Highly recommended, although slightly "off the beaten path" on the industrial side of 47th Street. They are open...

**Parking is free, which is definitely a plus. However, the restaurant feels quite outdated and is attached to a bar, which doesn’t enhance the experience. We found the food to be mediocre—bland and overpriced for what we received. There were three of us: my husband, our son, and I. Unfortunately, the coffee was cold, which added to our disappointment. Given the strong competition from places like Denny's, which offers a much better experience at a lower price, I'm surprised this place is still in business. We only stopped here because we were in the area and had read some positive reviews, but our experience didn’t match what others have described. Denny's will definitely be our go-to...

If I could leave a zero star I would. Me and my dad have been coming here for years and never had a problem. But the last time was horrendous we waited 30 minutes for one entree and the second one we never got then we go to ask if the second entree is coming because my dad doesn’t want to just start eating by himself. They tell us there working on it. Then the manager sees that we are upset doesn’t say a word to the cook and acts like everything is fine. So after waiting another 10 minutes we just had enough at this point and ended up leaving. Really really sad this used to be our go to spot for breakfast. Don’t recommend this place it’s been going down hill the past...
