Wonderful Matcha — Restaurant in Lyons Township

I cannot speak highly enough of the quality, goodness and the richness of the products and the pure heart of the staff.. but I will! The shop + staff is truly wonderful and amazing in every sense of the word. From the design of the Matcha bowls, to the very unique one of a kind savory flavors of a variety of snacks and chocolate. Face cleansers, plant based protein shakes, dark chocolate with healing herbs, tea sets, oils, herbs. A plethora. I felt so happy stepping into the shop. I highly recommend trying a bit of everything. There is so much to choose throughout the whole shop like the bowls.. Everything is high end quality, reasonably and fairly priced and sourced. The authenticity of the energy and products of this shop is real. The lanyards are super cute. The merch items are beautiful. It brought me a huge smile to know of the organic items they have and how warm and inviting the staff who work here are. The whole process of seeing my drink made, brought me tears of joy to be transparently honest. It reached the fondness of the deepest parts of my heart with such wonder and joy. 5/13/24 - I have been going to this store for just over 3 years and have had nothing but good experiences until today. I had my eye on a Japanese tea set for over a year and finally decided to buy it today, but was unsure of the price. The person working (5/13/24) was generally pleasant and quoted me $70 for the tea set.

Upon reading my receipt tonight (attached to this review), I'm seeing that she gave herself a $20 tip without asking me (never even turned the screen for me to enter a tip) and that the REAL price of the tea set was only $50. Totally unethical and it has soured me on any future shopping experiences at this establishment. Buy beware based on who the staff working are. Totally unpleasant because I have loved going here for years.

Update 5/15/24 - The owner Yasmin responded rapidly to my concerns, confirmed that the employee in the store acted unethically, gave me a full refund on my credit card for the merchandise and tip, let me keep the merchandise as an apology, and offered me free drinks in store as a further means of apologizing. This is the way a concern of this magnitude should be handled and I applaud Yasmin for conducting themself this way. Depending on what day you come this place is great! The inside of the store is so cute they have so much to look at. I have been to the shop three times & I’ve encountered two different employees, one of them you can tell is seems passionate and cares about the drink they are serving(my drink was amazing), this employee was just overall so kind and sweet but then the other employee you can tell just doesn’t care. My first time here wasn’t the best experience, the employee gave off not the best vibes and my drink was low quality but I try to give people grace, not everyone has the best day. Encountered that same employee today and it was kinda the same experience, the drink just wasn’t good and the interaction was cold.
