Little Green Apple — Local services in Lyons Township

Cute store, as most Hallmark stores are. However, extremely rude staff. I tried to return a defective item, and wasn't even allowed to explain. Was interrupted, talked over, and ultimately refused to be helped. When I later spoke with the manager on the phone, was not treated respectfully either. She had clearly been filled in on the situation, and made assumptions that were not accurate, and was hesitant to hear the details. After explaining the situation, she reluctantly offered to take the return. She never even apologized for her employees brutish behavior. When I returned the item, the manager was courteous, but I'm not sure that's enough to change my mind. While I love Hallmark and the products offered here, I will drive a little further from home and shop at another location. Good customer service is key to maintaining...

I recently visited this store to buy some cards. I informed the girl behind the register I was a Hallmark Rewards member and wanted to see if their store participated in the rewards program. She asked for my cellphone #, gave it to her, and confirmed I was eligible for rewards at their store. She proceeded to scan my cards, charged me, paid, and she didn't bother to ask me if I was eligible for any reward or discount that I should inform her about in case her system did...

Though Hallmark and dedicated greeting card shops were once very common, they are now exceedingly rare. Amy's Hallmark Shop is a wonderful reminder of what it's like to shop for a card, offering a huge variety and a carefully curated selection of potential gifts. It's so nice to buy a card and not be reminded that you also need to buy a ham on the other side...
