As a barista and someone who tries a lot of chai lattes, Wheely's Iced Chai was one of the best I've had by far. The owner recommended the Iced Chai because of their well crafted house-brewed blend and the difference from Wheely's and other companies (that make it with milk and syrup).
Aside from the creamy, delicious drink -- the customer service was exceptional. The owner is super friendly and helpful, especially if you don't know what to order. He's quick to offer suggestions, which makes the for a non-pressuring, enjoyable experience. He even gave us larges for being first time customers & remembered other customer's usuals when they walked in!
As for environment -- usually when I work on my computer in cafes, I have to put on headphones, but their Christmas music made for a cozy, non-distracting feel to do homework.
Overall, customer service goes a long way and the owner definitely knows how to deliver. Will definitely be coming back,...
Read moreI cannot understand how this place has so many good reviews. This is by far the worst. coffee shop. I. have. ever. been. to. Went here for the first time when they first opened and had a lukewarm hot chocolate with little to no flavor. Figured Iâd give them a pass since theyâd just opened. Fast forward to today when I decided to give Wheelys a second chance. I ordered a raspberry iced tea and my friend ordered a coffee with oat milk and a muffin. The iced tea was terrible. Not enough ice in the tea so it was lukewarm and the raspberry flavor was very fake and too sweet. My friendâs coffee was good until it started to hurt her stomach, at which we realized that they had not in fact used oat milk. All in all a pretty terrible experience at Wheelys. To quote the older gentleman (whom I watched throw out his drink because it was âterribleâ) to the Wheelys owner, âYeah you gotta work on...
Read moreMy fiancÊ and I stopped in for some drinks while we waited on our dog to finish up at the groomer. She ordered a caramel latte and enjoyed hers, but I cannot say the same for my chai latte. It did not have the spice you would normally associate with chai lattes and was overly sweet, I could only finish about half of it before calling it quits.
On a side note we were seated at a table near the register where you order drinks and couldnât help but over hear, whom I assumed to be the manager, scold the young barista/ cashier. It seemed to be a pretty intense conversation that probably shouldâve been more private rather than on the floor in front of a quiet coffee shop for all to hear. Not gonna lie I felt bad for the kid since it seemed to stem from him using a little too much pistachio for someoneâs drink. We left shortly after and more than likely will not be making our...
