We went to McDonaldâs on Bass Road after a trip to Amstar Theatre off Zebulon. My son whom stayed home wanted me to bring him a Macdonalds quarter pounder. My daughters were with me and only wanted some snacks so they ordered milk shakes. Attendant said their machine was down. McDonaldâs Iâve cream machines are down 80% of the time from my experience. So one of my daughters said sheâll have apple slices and a sprite. The attendant said they didnât have any apple slices. My daughter just looked down at the floor and said she didnât want anything then. She was so disappointed with the unavailable menu items she didnât even want the sprite. Sad. When we got to the pay window we watched people walk back and forth for almost 5 minutes before the attendant to the payment. We only ended up with 1 large fry and 2 burgers so we went to Dairy Queen and they were very helpful, fast and everything we ordered was available. McDonaldâs has become one of my last choices in the...
Read moreIt's been years since I've eaten at a McDonald's & I now remember why. $20 order that consisted of cold fries, extremely small fish sandwiches, Big Mac that looked as if it was thrown from 2nd base to home plate, & a $4.59 Frappe that wasn't even completely filled & wayyyyyyyyy too sweet. I had to add cold coffee to it when I got home. Oh by the way, did I mention that several minutes went by before anyone asked if they could help me? I understand that the pay in these places are minimal but it appears that this place has gone down & is not properly supervised. The staff is not very inviting & really could use some customer service training. One person was working in the kitchen with her purse on her shoulder, while another was constantly putting their hands in their pockets & touching their phone. I doubt very seriously that I will return. Unfortunately, in today's times, we pay more money for less value &...
Read moreFood was up to the McDonald's standard. Made me pull up to park and wait for my drink. Yes. My drink. Waited about 4 minutes. Would not have waited 5. I'll try them again maybe but not anytime soon. No self respecting fastfood restaurant makes their customers wait for a drink. I'll allow them some time for employee turnover before I go back! (For those who don't know: there's a timer system on every drive thru window on just about every restaurant you've ever ordered from. They measure the restaurant's performance by the length of time each customer spends at the drive thru. When you pull away from the window, the timer stops. The "pull up and park" is the restaurant's way to cheat the system, keeping their apparent wait times down when they're actually much worse. Franchise restaurants are evaluated on a regular basis to insure they are upholding the corporate standards. They stand to lose if...
