On Wednesday I made two separate call in orders. When I arrive which was later than the pick up time I was given, I was told that my order was not there. I saw several call in orders and just felt like two were mine. Maybe there was just a misunderstanding about the name. The older man kept saying no. I asked him to check and maybe the name was put on wrong. I told him that it was getting dark and I had to get home. I have problems seeing to driim at night. I told him that and he didn't care. He was also saying that there was not an order with the two plates I was said I ordered. I told him I called in twice because the restaurant I went to for my dinner didn't have what I wanted. He had me pay and wait for my order to be prepared. I couldn't wait. I wish I didnt pay. I would've just left. Finally the drive thru cashier ask me if these two orders could be mine. The older man yelled at him and was blaming him by saying he gave it to some one else or put the order in wrong. The young man was not the person on the phone. The young man continued to try to give me the orders while being yelled at. At this point the cook was saying he already made the orders. He was cleaning the grill. I finally was given the plates while the older man continued to yell at the young man. The whole situation was ridiculous. I pick up from there once most weeks, but not anymore. Well I...
Read moreI wish I could give this place a rating for the food and another for the service/establishment. Overall, this place is a gem and one of my favorite go-to's in Macon. But, for the everyday person, or especially those travelling here, I feel a proper "warning" is warranted.
Food: 8/10 The food is great. If you want greasy hibachi with good sauces then this is your place, hands-down. So much food you'll probably have enough left for another meal, if not 2 more for some people. The veggies with the plates are good too, if that's your thing.
Service: 2/10 Don't wear flip flops here. Seriously, you will have to peel them off the sticky, sticky floor from layers and layers of grease off an open grill. The building was like a 1970's Hardee's or something. It's not "dirty", exactly, just not designed for this type of cooking and it shows. If you can get past that, and the employees are in a decent mood, this place is amazing. However, if someone calls out, or if they're seemingly in a bad mood, they'll just close up or refuse to take your order when you arrive. Do yourself a favor...
Read moreOrdered hibachi chicken with mushrooms and a side of zucchini. I have the receipt to prove it. Received hibachi chicken(half of the chicken was shredded as it was boiled which was weird) along with whole mushrooms that still had attached stems. Stems were like rubber and not edible whatsoever, as well as five slivers of zucchini on my hibachi meal (that cost an additional $1.99.) When asked why it was not put on the side as requested, we were told that they did not have small boxes so they just put it on top. While the look of the building is much nicer than before, the prices are ridiculous and the product has gone completely downhill. I understand that products cost more these days and I am willing to pay the up charges. However, I want what I pay for. My family has been a frequent customer of this business well over 10 years, but today is unfortunately...
