Wendy's — Restaurant in Macon

This was the most terrible service I ever received. My mother and I came to the drive through 8/29/2023 at noon and ordered.

I asked the girl at first window if I could add on a large drink. She stated it could only be done at 2nd window. She seemed angry that I even asked. I am always polite with proper etiquette, so I didn't know what caused her anger.

At the 2nd window, I was handed my order, but I let the young lady know I was asked to inform them to add on my large diet Coke . The girl told the manager "She wants a drink." I had my money ready to pay. So the girl took her time. I thought she was preparing my drink. So the manager on duty swung her fake ponytail and screamed "GIVE HER A SENIOR CITIZEN DRINK!"

As she The girl came to the window and handed me this tiny cup of regular Coke. I asked her "What is this?" She said "A senior citizen drink." Then she shut the window and they never turned back around. I felt so insulted!

First, I can't drink high fructose sweetened beverages.

Second, the time it took to ignore me, scream to give me a senior citizen drink, and then serve the tiny cup of beverage, was enough time to take my money and serve me what I asked for. I was not looking for a freebie handout driving a white Benz! 😕

The manager's response and behavior towards a guest wanting to pay was disdainful. The manager was right on the side of the window could have said to me "Ma'am we don't do add ons, can you come inside to order?" Or simply have taken my money, give me my drink order, rang up the order and place the money in the register. Simple.

I do not know why they didn't want to take my money or why they couldn't add on a drink. I've seen people pull forward to wait on their order. I just don't know why my mother and I was treated that way. 😕

This is not a racist issue because I am a black female just as they are and their service was absolutely evil. The worst!

I am not looking for money back, or free anything by sending this review. But something needs to be done about that manager with the antagonist attitude towards paying customers. She sets a very bad example for the whole crew and for the company. They were totally unprofessional.

At the time of my order, there was only myself and a gentleman at the counter who had already ordered. While waiting at least ten minutes for a single and a double burger and order of fries, due to a flood of drive thru cars, two ladies entered and proceeded to the counter as a male employee, on break, re-entered the store. The cashier asked the male employee if he could help for a moment as the Frosty machine was needing a refilll. Without hesitation the male employee eagerly ran to the back and grabbed the refill bag of Frosty mix and proceeded to the frosty machine then pouring it into the top of the machine. As the ladies and I are watching this all in progress, we began discussing that the male employee, although eagerly jumping into action, he failed to wash his hands before re-entering the workstation area and handling food products. The lady mentioned she worked at a hospital and that was totally unacceptable but said it happens quite often. I commented that their employee wash your hands sign should obviously be where they can see it. Also gloves should be worn by the money handlers who also handled our...

Anytime you visit this location it's ALWAYS a problem from staff . And the management team isn't any better. I visited this location on 12/06/2024 and was greeted with the most disrespectful attitude at the speaker. I thought wow here we go again but prayed my experience would improve got to the window the young lady opened the window I waited to hear my total because I wasn't given it at the speaker . She just stood there looking at me . I asked her and she stated what did you order ? I repeated my order while again she just looked at me . I just handed her my phone since I was tap paying . Asked for my receipt to she replied it's at the next window . Proceed to the next window spoke with JJ the manager and he was just as unconcerned with my complaint. The young lady comes up to that window and proceeds to argue with me while JJ and another manager stands at the window . At this point throw the whole establishment away !! Gray...
