First off the pictures on this page have to be either very old, or they must've had a special photo day set aside, because honestly the food is trash. If I pulled a chair up next to the dumpster I would've had a better meal. Came in this morning and there were only 3 customers inside. Was only in there less than a minute looking at a menu and was talked to and treated like I was in the wrong place. Decided to eat in anyway. Had to repeat my order 4 times because the waitress decided she was going write down what I should eat instead of what I told her. Right hand to God within one minute of getting my food she was in my face numerous times asking how was it, etc. I haven't even touched it yet. I felt highly rushed and as If I was a bother instead of a customer. I've been in there a few times and swear I'm the only one who tips. Or at least tips generously. Not today though. Not ever again. I'll go check out Leo's across the...
Read more3 out of 3 employees not wearing a face mask, one even had it on just covering her throat and chin and not her mouth or nose 😅. When placing the order I explained to them that it was for an immune deficient Crohn's patient and that we just had to leave another takeout restaurant for not wearing their masks while prepping the food. Well I walked in one woman standing over the grill over someone's food the other one boxing up food I presume for our order and the third cleaning all in the food prep area none wearing a mask. They then proceeded to call our phone back repeatedly to apologize and argue that they had done nothing wrong, this was days after whitmore is mandatory order for face masks everywhere. Apparently a $500 fine isn't enough for them to take being in public seriously let alone being in food service. My mom's been going here for years it said that we will not...
Read moreI just HAVE to review this amazing, cozy little retro diner. It is incredible. My siblings and I were looking for a good brunch spot in Madison Heights and I am so happy we decided to stop in here. The server was so kind, the food was made to order and QUICKLY. Everything was delicious, reasonably priced and they have an extensive menu. I am vegetarian and more than enough dishes are available to accommodate me.
The thing that really charmed me, though, was how our serve greeted multiple patrons by name and was very pleasant and personable to everyone. She called us “baby” and even gave my sister a hug. I love this old, down-home, small-town atmosphere. Such a breath of fresh air! I will definitely be back. Planning to become...
