Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream Co. — Restaurant in Madison

I just love this location. It's a quick walk from my house and I am never disappointed. I always get two scoops of 2 different flavors, and every one I try is great. Be warned that two scoops is a lot of ice cream because they give you good size scoops, but I somehow always manage to finish. They have plenty of options for ice cream flavors and even have vegan options. They offer dishes and a wide variety of cone options, including chocolate dipped cones. The shop is clean and they have plenty of outdoor seating and some indoor seating too. The staff is always very friendly and easygoing. It's so cutely decorated and a nice atmosphere. I was thrilled to walk into the Fordem location Chocolate Shoppe last night and discover that Key Lime was back on the menu now featuring a new cheesecake twist! I had heard it was discontinued before, so this was a pleasant surprise. The staff were incredibly friendly too. I often arrive just 10 minutes before closing (sorry not sorry lol), and I really appreciate that they understand how spontaneous ice cream outings can be! Normally, this is my favorite location. I always get a pint for everyone in our family. Usually, the pints are packed full so everyone gets a couple different servings out of them. We got home tonight and the pints had so much air in them. It was the first time I finished one in one sitting. It was maybe a little over a scoop. They were new workers, so I'm hoping it was them just learning the ropes. I hope so because we visit at least once a week during the summer and that will be changing if this is how the servings are going to...
