Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Madison

I've tried both the hot and cold subs from here. The hot subs were good - everything was well-seasoned and the bun was soft from the heat which really brought out the taste of rosemary. Unfortunately, the cold sub (The Super Sub) was quite disappointing. I didn't have mine until I made it home 10min later, and by then, one side of the bread was already very mushy from the oil/vinegarette (I will take some responsibility for not eating it right away). Even with those "sauces", the sandwich overall was still very bland. Needless to say, I didn't much care for the soggy, flavorless meal.

To top it off, I had an awful customer experience where I ordered online and arrived early but still ended up waiting nearly twice as long for my sandwich, all the while watching them fulfill more than a dozen in-person orders and ignoring mine which was placed 20 minutes prior.

I'm open to improving my review with better future experiences, but with all the other sandwich shops around here where I NEVER have this experience, a "next time" might be...

I frequent this establishment often but todays visit was special enough to write about. I wish I could remember the employees names to give them recognition, but unfortunately I do not. Came in to order my usual subs for my bf and I. I requested to the very kind girl making the sandwiches that I wanted double meat on one of the subs. It's how my bf prefers but weirdly enough, he will only eat half. She suggested I get extra meat ( which is about $1 or so cheaper than the double meat). It made sense and we laughed that he may never notice, or may eat it all and really notice. Now in any service establishment, upsells are important and sometimes required. But because she offered an option that worked best for me, it made my return back here that much greater. I had a few substitutions as well that were never an issue. Returning home, my bf opened the bag, and begins to ask his usual question...."whos is whos"..... Only to see on the bags were 2 special notes 'His

So real story I go here and the person ask me if I want "mike's way?" I do not know this mike and what are his ways? She looks at me like I am from Uranus and scoff look back at her sandwich artist pals. She say, "get a load of this guy guestors with her thumbs toward me - says "he doesn't know what Mike's way is lol. so I asks her what is that??? she says well of course its oil with vingear and the spices. I was at Mike's place I guess so I figure why the hell not - lets try Mike's way. she perseeds to asphalt my sandwhich with the largest amount of oil I have ever seen in my 47 years on this planet. when I gets my sandwich mind you - dripping it oil all mixed with chipotlee sausage I ordered.
