I have no idea how this restaurant, based on their culinary offerings, gets anything over a 1 or 2 star. I seriously doubt any high reviews were judging on food, alone. While I can't rate the service or atmosphere, as I only ordered take-out, this was the WORST pad-thai I've ever had. It was mushy pasta with jarred peanut sauce. There was maybe 5 sprouts, no crushed peanuts, barely any shrimp (and super small), no lime .. it was so bad. REALLY disappointing. Not worth finishing it. Then I ordered red-curry chicken - yet another complete disappointment of flavor. Stir-fried vegetables in an extremely bland sauce, a few pieces of chicken. I asked for "spicy" ... my toddler ate it without hesitation. Will never go here again. The cooks in this kitchen aren't just inexperienced ... they absolutely don't care what comes out of their kitchen. Save your money, folks. Go...
Read moreI lived near Milford previously and used to go to Lao Szechaun which had delicious mapo tofu with minced pork, eggplant in garlic sauce and dry roasted green beans. I ordered the same thing here (substituting sauteed string beans, as the dry roasted ones weren't on the menu). I had high hopes, but the flavor wasn't there at all. The mapo tofu with minced pork was the most disappointing. Not only was it not spicy but it did not have any discernable flavor beyond the tofu's typical earthiness and a mild broth. The garlic eggplant was okay, and I was expecting the string beans to be different (which they were, crunchy with only a garlic flavor). The rice was acceptable. I also ordered some regular american chinese food for a picky eater and the only thing up to par were the crab rangoons. I will not be back,...
Read moreSurprisingly bad and expensive. First of all – the place smells burnt oil; the same smell even outside. I took out scallops and shrimps with vegetables and rice. It was ready in 8 minutes. Meal is too big for normal human and 2/3 of the meal was broccoli. There was also carrot and asparagus. Meal comes with carton of rice. I tried broccoli – tasteless. After I removed all the broccoli and put some rice, it started to look eatable, but when I tried it, I realized, that it is tasteless too. I added soy sauce (comes with the meal), but it didn’t fix it. And all it was $15.90. I could get really good Thai meal for $12. I know places nearby. I don’t understand how this place got 4*. And now my car smells burnt oil I gave 2* only because it wasn’t poisons (I’ll see if it’s true in a couple of hours),...
