I'm deeply concerned after witnessing an employee bully another colleague at this location. When I visited the store, there were three young ladies working. One took my order while the other two were making drinks. The young lady preparing my drink called my name and asked if I wanted my smoothie to be made thinner, to which I said yes. After making it, she placed it on the counter and said, "Here is your peanut butter smoothie." I told her, "Oh, I thought you called my name." It turned out that she had called out a name that sounded similar to mine. The customer who ordered the smoothie and I laughed about it because it was a harmless mistake that I misheard. However, the young lady working alongside the employee who made the peanut butter smoothie aggressively chastised her coworker, saying that the names of the customers are on the ticket and that she needed to read them. This caused the employee who made the smoothie to become visibly upset and cry. She left the floor in tears. I waited for her to come back, gave her a hug, and reassured her that everything would be okay. I use the term 'bully' because I spoke with the young lady who made the smoothie the following day, and she informed me that she brought the incident up to her manager, but it was brushed off. Unfortunately, she decided to quit due to the hostile environment. This concerns me because this situation could have been prevented with proper communication skills. It was highly inappropriate for her to be chastised on the sales floor with customers watching...
Read moreFirst I wasn’t even greeted when I walk in, just ask what can I get for you. Second the young lady gave my order out to the wrong customer, it wasn’t really her fault because the customer clearly forgot she ordered a small and not a medium she just rush and grab it. The customer continued to walk outside with my drink, turned around brung it back in and the crew realize they gave out the wrong order. My problem is that they didn’t or wasn’t even trying to make me a new one, they tried to give me the same cup she took all the way outside. The only reason I received a new one is by me saying You wasn’t going to make a new one she took it outside, the young lady (who was on the front register) some how ended up making orders, got upset and ask the other employee to make a new one. I wouldn’t dare serve the same smoothie king that landed in the wrongs hands that exit the store no matter what. First and last time...
Read moreI love Smoothie King and I thought I was fortunate to have moved so close to one, as I live right down the road from one. Unfortunately I live right down the road from the Madison location.
Regrettably I’ve gone here twice. Both times I had the nerve to expect that they take any kind of payment at all- they don’t! They don’t accept cash which is fine but they evidently don’t accept card either, what a joke. Both attempts were on my lunch break, and the staff informed me that they would have to call IT, and that the card machine was not going to work.
I should have taken the hint the first time, and in the future if I am ever craving a smoothie, I will drive literally anywhere else than the Madison location...
