Sunny Pho — Restaurant in Madison

Stopped by a Asian place near after a doctors visit up here in Madison. I searched for Boba and this place had more food so I stopped in. Pleasant establishment and the wait staff are friendly. I ordered black tiger boba, then crab Rangoon, and pork and shrimp spring rolls.

so far the main thing I came in for wasn’t the best as the boba was yummy overall, but super chewy not soft; more hard. Sweet as I would expect for boba tea and the cup was very cute to see which brightened my day.

But the crab Rangoon was the star of the show I didn’t know I wanted, it was delicious with chunks of crab meat amongst the cream cheese. Not super sweet but a soft savory. Definitely recommend to get this is you like crab Rangoon! The spring rolls are just as packed and yummy with shrimp and pork. The peanut sauce is a good contrast to it as well, but it’s not as sweet as the ones I prefer. More salty maybe even fish sauce I can’t pin point it sadly. Either way it was great with the rolls and I will be getting these again as well! So even though the boba was harder then I’d like I’m Still good with knowing I found awesome food and I’m eager to see how their broth is the next time I come back! :) I added the menu as well for others to see more of what they have currently. My favorite place to get authentic Vietnamese pho! Over & over again. The broth is very tasty, filled with ample noodles, green onion, a bit of red onion, cilantro, and the various meats & tender tendons are sufficient quantity in the regular size bowl (item B1 Sunny Pho Special). The sides of bean sprouts, jalapeños, & mint are always fresh & crunchy. You're given chop sticks, a fork, and an Asian-style spoon to use. The needed condiments are already on the table for you, like hot chili oil (yum), Sriracha, hoisin sauce, Maggi, etc. Did I say how much I love this place? I really love this place. Dining in is very nice with fast & friendly service. I've also had to-go orders of pho via Door Dash to the hospital, too! Even the to-go version of their pho is very well presented and always very fresh, too. Everything comes separately, so you can put it all together yourself when it arrives, still hot. Really nice. Don't ever change a thing Sunny Pho because you're one of the best AUTHENTIC PHO restaurants I've been to in Madison. Amazing experience @ Sunny Pho. I got the chicken pho, my friends got the seafood pho, chicken curry w/ noodles, and Banh Mi. The eggrolls with the eggroll sauce was exquisite. I couldn't get enough! We ordered another plate haha. First came the Banh Mi, and it was delicious. They had great quality meat inside the flavor was really shining and bold in a good way. The pho came next and the broth was absolutely great, even for the chicken pho. Most people prefer beef broth but my Cambodian friend, who does prefer beef broth, said the chicken broth was made exceptionally well. I definitely agree. The chicken curry was AMAZING and spicy to the right amount (depends on who you are), and it had strong thai basil taste. I don't mind it, some people prefer it. More than anything, the waitress and the cooks were so kind to us. We could tell it was a family owned place and they had jokes and made us feel at home.
