Wendy's — Restaurant in Madison

Edit: Still a 1 Star review, they closed up their drive-thru 15 mins early just as I was pulling in on 12/17/2017 on a Sunday night.

On 7/1/2017 at about 6:10pm went through the drive thru because I wanted something quick and cheap. Well I was behind 3 cars thinking it'd take maybe ten minutes to get in and out (and wondering if I should just go inside), some people in their car at the window were there for almost 10 minutes waiting for food, then two black families in their two cars in front of me spent forever ordering and changing their order at the intercom over and over.

So finally I order my food woman is polite but I'm sitting and waiting and noticing that the white couple behind me has gotten so bored waiting in line like me that they've pulled out their phones and have started recording a couple squirrels playing with each other on a tree. So all of us sat for almost 10-15 minutes because the staff was so slow, I got there at 6:10 pm and didn't get out of the drive thru until 6:30, and I couldn't leave because it's so badly designed that there's no way to get out after you get boxed in.

I wouldn't have minded at all had the fries not been cold by the time I got them and if they had maybe offered a free larger drink or maybe throw in a large fries or something, even if it would've been cold. Completely ridiculous I was stuck there for 20 minutes in a DRIVE THRU and got cold food. No wonder the Wendy's down on State St went out of business so quick. I'm surprised that the one on the east side is still in business, and I know they have a for help sign up on the board but holy god at least offer people you make wait something for...

Yes.... the changing table is at shoulders height.... why???? I changed my son in or car instead. The condition of the restroom was disgusting

But if that was the worst thing that had happened i would have left happy

We stopped on or way home from a long distance trip for food and bathroom. The food was horrible!!!!

I'm in a special diet with no soy and dairy and the homestyle chicken sandwich is one of the few fast food options i have. Normally, i enjoy my Wendy's chicken sandwich. But the same sandwich i always order was an absolute disappointment at this location.

The sandwich was at least half as thick as what I've gotten at other locations and was not a chicken breast. It was like a cheep compressed patty you'd get from a gas station. The last straw was when i got about 3 bites in and saw pink.....

My bf took the raw/bad sandwich up to the counter and it was replaced without so much as an apology. The second sandwich was less appalling and seemed to resemble a chicken breast cut in half(or even thirds) , but still.... thin rubbery and still not what I've come to expect compared to other locations.

Now somewhere between 2 and 3 hours later we are scrambling to get home and hoping not to get sick.

Came here today after college classes, decided to get three biggie bags, the cashier at the drive thru told me my total, I unlocked my credit card while he told me my total I get to the window he tells me my total I hand him my card which I have plenty of money on by the way with no restrictions! The guy had my card for at least a minute or two he kept swiping my card in the terminal for what reason I DONT KNOW! He then opens the window and ask me if my card is unlocked I said uh yeah! He said well it won’t go through on the computer I said that’s a lie because my bank told me that a transaction was made in the amount of 17.41 and in the amount of 7.06 dollars once I showed him proof he told me he didn’t know what I was talking about and that the charge wasn’t from the correct store which was a lie! Because by the charge it states the whole address. I was getting extremely frustrated because my kids were hungry! He tried to tell me to get out of the drive thru or he would call the police I simply told him I’d call the police for him because he charged my card 2 seperate times when he wasn’t suppose too i told him to just give me corporates number. Once I got out of the drive thru and called them the number wasn’t even a real number! I will never ever do business here at this...
