Taco John's — Restaurant in Madisonville

I really wish I could leave zero stars. The only plus side to our visit was Thomas. My daughter felt so bad for him that she wanted to cry. The manager I guess did not pay attention to our order. It was the meat and potato burrito with chicken, no lettuce or tomato. Thomas rang it up, but it was made wrong the first time with lettuce and tomato, the second time with tomato, and a third time with hamburger instead of chicken. The whole time through the process the manager was putting Thomas down and yelling at him for what she said was his mistake when in all reality it was hers. Needless to say, I left hungry and very upset. Tried doing the survey, but it asked nothing about our actual experience. We will not be returning. The manager should never talk or yell at an employee in front of customers. If she had an issue, she could have pulled him aside, privately. He wasn't even in the wrong, he rang it up right, she just made it wrong...

There is a steadily dripping 'leak' above the cash register, directly above where customers pay and pickup orders. The ceilingtiles are going to crash down at any moment, it's clear this issue is old and well overdue based on the damage to ceilingtiles.... It's not a roof leak, rather a maintenance issue where equipment leaks (probably condensation into overflow pan that never gets emptied).... very very alarming that management would allow this safety hazard to fester into what it is today. I was concerned for the young staff at the register just cheerfully going about the day while the multiple drips per second we falling into buckets next to her counter. It will be a huge problem when the ceiling crashes down and by the looks of it, it's not avoidable. Someone is going to be hurt, the cashier and whichever customer is unlucky enough to be there...

It was cinco de mayo so the line was wrapped around the building but it really didnt take a long long time and they did get our order right (minus my ketchup) BUT nothing had a taste to it.. my tots was lukewarm and i put a ton of the mild sauce on them to just boost the taste. I got 2 hard shell taco's .. no sour cream n no lettuce.. so i got a spoonful of meat and 1/2 cup of cheese in a really crispy shell.. again i put a ton of mild sauce on it to give it some taste.. we parked in the sureway lot to eat and the line just kept coming so i get it and it was pretty full inside to but i was disappointed cuz we left el braceros and chose taco johns over taco bell (hands down my families favorite .. gross!) and i really talked up the food.. so yeah... i have to say i feel really fair...
