Drive Thur person(manager I think) took my order tonight 7-29. The very first thing I asked her was "Can I use the code on the mobile order and pay CASH? She said yes, I ordered an item , on the mobile app it was a coupon. I didn't place the order on the app, and I pulled up to the first window. The young guy at the window said it was paid with the card linked to the app , when I handed him a 20 dollar bill. He called for the manager. It was the person who took my order. When she said oh, if you use a code on the app it automatically charges the card stored on the app, I said why didn't you say that when I asked you about paying with cash?. Then she goes on to call me a liar basically, saying oh I didn't hear you say anything about cash. It was the very first sentence I spoke, and you replied to the paying with cash question , saying yes. And she got the rest of the order correct, I guess she had selective hearing when called out . Don't expect an honest answer from this lying manager. I didn't have any money on the card, and I bank with Chase. So now I'm driving to Chase in Redmond to correct her mistake. She didn't own up to it, called me a liar, and didn't attempt to correct it at all. She could of cancelled the order and I wouldn't be driving 60 miles round trip . Thanks McDonalds, I guess maybe I need to start going elsewhere. Maybe hire a manager that can hear and knows basic skills like trying to correct an issue with a customer, not calling them a liar. I guess the labor pool in Madras is extremely thin to hire someone like that...
Read moreI used to have a 5-star review of this location. It used to be reasonably clean, friendly, and accurate.
It used to be.
Now the floors are covered in food and garbage, and the tables have a thick, sticky glaze. Has that Play Place ever been cleaned? Who knows.
Human customer service has been replaced with digital kiosks that often freeze or crash outright, and if you try to get someone at the counter, employees in the back will look at you with annoyance before going back to chatting with one another. Eventually someone will come over, but they won’t be happy about it.
And you will have to go talk to them, because they will screw up your order, sometimes in so many ways you don’t even catch them all before the meal is almost over. Each of your Happy Meals will be missing at least one major item. Cheeseburgers won’t have cheese. God help you if you try to add anything else extra to a burger, because while you will pay for it you likely won’t get it.
And again, the staff just seems annoyed you dared to walk into their establishment. I watched some (non-English speaking) customer go out the emergency exit by our table, triggering a buzzer so loud it had my young son nearly in tears. It took ten minutes to get someone to shut it down, and she didn’t even look at us, let alone apologize.
My children and I were the only ones there. It takes effort to be that discourteous.
Shockingly, embarrassingly bad customer service from what used to be a pretty decent place to bring my kids. Next time, I’ll just grill...
Read moreUpdate 12/18: I've moved this store to 4 stars. They have worked hard to improve where they can and it shows. Mobile ordering is much better, and the staff all seem friendly now. I'm leaving my original reviews to show the changes this store has gone through in 6 months.
UPDATE: Downgraded from 3 to 2 stars. The service issues here are getting worse. Obviously, the management here is way too comfortable and established....
Original Review:This store has struggled with service issues over the years I've been coming here, and recently has been no different. Some of the staff is awesome and super friendly, but a few have persistent attitude issues that I feel haven't been addressed correctly.
As for the food, it's McD's... But, once again, this location has service issues. I've too many times had an issue with mistakes. Make sure you check your order before you go too far...
Lastly, this store uses the drive through "waiting area" too frequently for my tastes. It often seems to be the norm rather than...
