I placed an order using the mobile app and completed the online process before heading to the store for pickup. Since I had ordered a well-done pizza, I expected a slight delay for proper preparation. The site indicated my order was “ready for pickup” after about 25 minutes, but this turned out not to be the case.
The store itself was well-lit, and there were several staff members behind the counter, which initially seemed like a good sign. However, this quickly proved deceiving. After waiting a few minutes for assistance, I provided my name to the first team member, who appeared uncertain and began scrambling, asking others for help. A team lead eventually informed me they needed another 10 minutes because the first attempt at my order had been messed up. I pointed out that the site showed my order as ready, but they explained it wasn’t.
Since parking at the plaza is difficult, I was double-parked and decided to wait in my car. About 8–10 minutes later, I returned after finding a spot, only to wait again for assistance. I noticed others being told to wait, too, which seemed to be a recurring theme—though it’s possible they had arrived early. Watching the kitchen operations, it became clear the staff were inexperienced and in need of training. There was a noticeable lack of urgency, and some staff struggled with basic tasks like cutting pizzas. It’s understandable that these are growing pains for a new establishment, but it was frustrating as a customer.
After roughly 20 more minutes, my pizza was finally ready—nearly 53 minutes after I had placed the order. Unfortunately, it wasn’t well-done as requested, and the crust was almost packed without seasoning. When I pointed this out, they offered to cook it further, but I couldn’t wait any longer since I had guests at home eagerly awaiting dinner. To top it off, the pizza lacked the signature crunch that Detroit-style pizzas, like Jet’s, are known for. The crust was also overloaded with romano, which was off-putting.
We’re big fans of Detroit-style pizza, and Jet’s has generally been reliable in satisfying that craving. However, this location has some noticeable issues to address. From my perspective and the experiences of others I observed, improvements in speed, training, and leadership are needed—especially during busy times like Saturday nights. While I received a quick “sorry for the long wait,” the apology didn’t make up for a mediocre pizza and an unnecessarily lengthy process.
I’m hopeful things will improve, and I’ll give them another chance, but this visit left much...

I found their new location on Milwaukee in Glenview, which was celebrating its grand opening, and decided it was the perfect opportunity. I placed my order and went to pick it up, but unfortunately, my car wouldn’t start when it was time to head home. Since it was the weekend and the dealership was closed, I had no choice but to leave my car there and plan for a tow on Monday.
When I finally sat down to try Jet’s Pizza for the first time, I was a bit concerned since it had cooled during the delay with my car. However, I was blown away! Even cold, the pizza was absolutely AMAZING. The crust and sauce were unlike anything I’ve ever tasted—easily the best I’ve had.
On Monday, I returned to jumpstart my car, which had been left in Jet’s Pizza’s parking lot. I asked the owner, Ridish, if it was okay to use their outlet to connect a charger for a while. Not only did Ridish kindly allow me to do so, but he also came out to check on us later and offered my brother and me a free slice of pizza while we waited.
The pizza is phenomenal, and the staff and owner at Jet’s Pizza on Milwaukee are genuinely kind and thoughtful. I’m beyond impressed and can’t wait to return. I’ll definitely be spreading the word about this incredible new gem in Glenview. Great pizza and amazing people—how could...
Read moreSo, I'm a Chicagoian, and I don't have to say how we feel about PIZZA!🤨lol That being said, for a pizza chain, I absolutely love Jets even if it is Detroit style. I used to be a Domino's fan when the first came to Chicago, but with everything, they changed with the pizza it is now the worst! Jets, I can't even call it fast-food pizza because it has an amazing taste. There 4 and 8 corner pizzas are almost like going to a pizzeria. I have not had a round as of yet, so I can't give an honest opinion yet. I also love the cheese bread. It's all most as good as...
