first of all I have to say that this Publix used to be a great Publix. But over the years it's just gotten worse and worse. It's mostly the fault of the deli, The other departments are very good still, including the seafood department, and the check out cashiers are always friendly and fast, and the customer service department is always willing to help with check out if needed. The deli at this Publix on the other hand is a totally different beast. it's unorganized and very slow. The deli personnel always seem to be cleaning stuff on the floor or cleaning things that really don't need to be cleaned when people are waiting for their meat to be cut. I mean seriously folks half the time I go there the deli people are squatting down on the floor doing something that I don't know what they're doing I just have no idea. I mean what could be so important on the floor on the ground I mean is there a puppy dog I don't know I don't know I don't see one. So here's the problem let's get down to the nitty-gritty folks, I walk in there at 9:30 PM and I walk up to the deli and there's people on the floor I guess they're cleaning but sometimes it just looks like they're organizing things that aren't there. anyway I stand there for a couple minutes and nobody does anything, and then I say nicely is the deli still open? Yes the deli is still open they reply, so I stand there for a couple more minutes with no one asking me if I need help, and then I say, is it possible to get something such as sliced meat? oh yes let me get somebody. Seriously? Seriously? Seriously? Seriously folks that's just unacceptable. If you're open at 9:30 and the deli is open just have somebody ready to take care of them so they can get on their way. It's 930 at night we don't need to be cleaning up the floors until it's time to go because that's unsanitary to clean the floors and clean the counters while you're still cutting peoples meat . I shouldn't have to tell you all this so please please I mean seriously folks, let's get with the program again and let's get this Publix back to where it used to be. It can't be that hard to find decent help in orlando with 1 million people looking for jobs. So come on folks let's stop putting our hands on the floor and cleaning up scraps and trying to polish the cutters when you're still still open and people are...
Read moreFirst of all, this is not a comment about the employees, but a comment about the QUALITY of the products recently offered at this location. I come to this location for more than 4 years now, employees are all professional, very nice, friendly and they try to help you when you need. They're amazing! But I'm very disappointed with the quality of products offered in the vegetable section. It didn't just happen to me once, twice, three or four times...but it happened several times. That's why I leave my dissatisfaction written here. The first time I went to buy eggplants, I just walked over and took the eggplants without looking (I was relying on the quality of products offered by publix), so when I got to the cashier to pay I noticed that those 3 eggplants were all literally rotting, with holes on all sides. So I said I wasn't going to take it home and I'd leave it there at the cashier. ok, so the employee instead of calling the manager and showing the product, just called the other coworker and asked him to take the eggplants BACK to the vegetable section. That should have gone straight to the TRASH and not put up for sale. Second, the other day I bought Parsley and when I got home the vegetable had slugs. Third. yesterday we bought cilantro and when we got home to prepare our food, I noticed that inside the leaves there were pasty feces along with the leaves... it was so disgusting that it was almost impossible to just wash it to eat it. Fourth... I bought a greenwise branded Kale bag, on the bag it said "This product has been washed 3 times", "READY TO EAT"... once again I think "Okay, I'm not buying any more separete and individual vegetables there, now I bought a closed bag, which says that the leaves have already been washed and are ready for consumption"...great, when I open the bag, I put it in my bowl, I see in less than 1 minute that there were "leftovers" small insects...slug", "eggs"...I don't know what that was. It is frustrating for this to happen, it's clear that more effective quality control is lacking. As I said at the beginning, the problem is not this location, or the employees, but the publix brand itself and where the...
Read moreStore #1070 Manager- Edward. Was at the store Monday 10/30 & manager came up asked me to remove my animal from the cart cause it is against the law. (Not my first time at this store or others and never heard that) but that was fine took him out. Then was told had to leave no animals allowed. I attempted to explain to the manager my animal is service but he heard the first word emotional and would not let me finish talking. My wife and I were both trying to tell him the whole thing even attempting to show him all of my paperwork bc my animal is newly certified and waiting his vest and card but he would not let us talk. Had he listened to what I was saying he would have heard that my animal serves as both. Having gone through all sorts of hurdles and courts being severely allergic to doge and having to get special needs approval for a MEDICAL AND EMOTIONAL SERVICE CAT! I had all the court papers, doctors notes, printout of the official certification right in my purse which he could not bother to listen or look at. Causing a scene with others around trying to get me to answer medical questions in front of people insteas of listening and reading. He made me leave the store which caused a medical attack and left me ill for the last 2 days. Rude and unwilling to just hear a few sentences. I have been a customer there for 8 years!!! I have already reported to ADA but though my fellow disabled people...
