Super peaceful and absolutely stunningly beautiful. So glad we drove inland from Ormond/Daytona beach one day to do this. Dinky dock is where all the websites tell you to psrk but it has very little parking so try Fort Matiland park if it's full. So much more parking and a good bathroom there. We paddled from Fort Maitland to Dinky Dock and had planned to paddle back but in the end it was just as easy to deflate our boards and uber back to the car. Pretty busy with boats, jet ski's launching on a weekend. very small dock. Gives access to the winter park chain of lakes through very very narrow canals. Busy lake. We went for a moonlight kayak which was great as most of the party boats were gone and only a few fishing boats left. The winter park boat tours also stop at 5 pm.
