As a former telephone technician, this museum would get 6 stars. There are antique telephones from the 1920s including early switchboards. There is switching equipment from the Maitland Telephone and Telegraph Company including part of step by step switching machine, a test board and a distribution frame. Maitland T&T was an independent telephone company not owned by AT&T. Really enjoyed this museum and highly recommended.

This place feels like a time capsule. It's incredible to see how much technology has evolved. They showcase not just the different types of phones used over the years but the entire communication system and think this was only for specific to one area. It's truly fascinating and amazing how well everything has been preserved. You have to come and see it for yourself! It's located behind the building

What a fun and interesting place to visit!! Step back through time and see and experience the evolution of the telephone. From old switchboards to phone booths to working rotary phones, this compact museum has it all. A nostalgic visit for some. For others a challenge on just how to use those rotary phones! A must see for young and old.
