I’m a frequent SunLife customer and have visited this location several times. Since it can get quite busy, I placed my order ahead of time through the mobile app. I ordered two drinks, one of which required ingredient modifications due to sensitivities. The app made it easy to remove the two ingredients, and this was clearly noted on the cup when I picked it up.
However, the drink still contained one of the ingredients - both as a topping and potentially blended inside. I flagged this with a team member at the counter, who told me I needed to remove it separately as both a topping and as an ingredient in the app. This seemed odd, since I had double checked the app and confirmed that removing an ingredient should remove it entirely.
I went back and spoke to another staff member, who was much more understanding and remade the drink correctly. While I appreciated the resolution, the initial experience was disappointing especially at a place that emphasizes health and wellness.
For anyone with allergies or sensitivities, I recommend ordering in person to ensure modifications are...
Read moreI’ve been going here and promoting them for years. I had an incredibly disappointing experience with the cross creek employee and specifically the employee Kylie. I always ask for a smoothie with no ice since it waters it down and makes it too cold for my taste. Also when it’s a 13 dollar smoothie it would make sense that it’s not all ice right? I ordered as I normally do and got literally half the normal size of the smoothie for the same price I paid. I then got lectured by the employee Kylie how because I asked for no ice that’s the size I would get, I gave her countless opportunities to just fix it and make it right. Instead I left with no smoothie and a completely new outlook and experience on this business as a whole. I won’t be back, for a 10 cents difference in product and the rudeness of the employee they lost a loyal customer. Disappointed, but thankfully there are MANY other options around town! Head...
Read moreI’ve had the Brazilian Açaí Bowl at Sunlife Organics at Malibu. The top half of the container was a heavy layer of granola, strawberry and banana. And while everything was very fresh, it was weird to eat dry granola and random pieces of fruit to get to the açaí at the bottom. In Brazil, the toppings layer is either smaller or better mixed so you can have all flavors and textures together. The açaí itself was a quality one but very far from the ones you’ll find in Brazil. Very thin and sweet, it is more of an interpretation of Brazilian Açaí rather than an accurate recreation. For the price of $12, I’m not sure it was worth it.
However, everyone was very nice and the shop has a great selection of health food items to browse. I’d come back again and try...
