Great pier

"Malibu Pier: A seaside haven where dreams awaken, surf crashes, and sunsets paint the sky. A mesmerizing escape from reality, where time unravels, exhaling tranquility. Waves whisper secrets, while seagulls dance overhead. Gentle sea breeze kisses sun-kissed skin, a sweet embrace of nature's embrace. Surfboards ride the crests, as laughter intertwines with the rhythm of crashing tides.

Wooden planks carry stories of resilience, echoing the pier's history. Fishermen cast their lines, eager to taste the ocean's bounty. Coastal treasures unveil themselves at Malibu Farm, a culinary symphony of fresh flavors. Savor every bite, delight in every sip, surrounded by panoramic coastal views. It's a culinary voyage for the senses, an exquisite fusion of land and sea.

Stroll along, hand in hand, capturing moments frozen in time. The pier's end unfolds a breathtaking vista, where land and sea converge in perfect harmony. Glimpse dolphins leaping, an aquatic ballet of grace. Golden sands beckon, inviting your barefoot steps, as crashing waves provide a serenade. Surfers carve through liquid walls, embodying the spirit of freedom.

Cafés and shops line the boardwalk, each offering a glimpse into the Malibu spirit. Embrace the bohemian charm, a tapestry of art and culture. Indulge in retail therapy, where beach-chic fashion meets timeless elegance. Discover hidden treasures, artisanal crafts, and keepsakes to cherish forever.

Whether seeking solace or vibrant energy, the Malibu Pier embraces all. It's a sanctuary for introspection, a playground for adventure. Capture the perfect Instagrammable moment or simply bask in nature's majesty. An icon of the California dream, where Hollywood's allure blends seamlessly with the simplicity...

This past Sunday, August 23rd, I drove out early to fish for a couple hours on the Malibu Pier - a spot I have frequented for over 25 years, being a local. I pulled up at 9:15am - pretty early but it was a Sunday in Summer, so I anticipated some crowds. I pulled up to park in the Pier parking lot for $15 - a very fair price. There were roughly 30 vacant car spots, but the gate was blocked, and when I asked the attendant to let me in - he first waved me off and ignored me. Then I honked and got his attention, and he started yelling and screaming at me that they were full, and had to maintain capacity. I indicated there were ample empty spots, and he waved me off and ignored me. I found a spot down PCH and walked up to the pier, where I saw not 5 (five) minutes after I was there, the same attendant letting in ONE CAR AFTER THE OTHER - 10 or 20 cars freely pulling in. I could not believe my eyes. I was discriminated against. I approached the attendant and asked him to explain what had changed, and why he had aggressively and explicitly denied me the chance to pay $15 to park, but allowed everyone else. He was entirely caught off guard by my confronting him on his absolutely illegal and unkind behavior, and asked why he had discriminated against me? He just yelled and screamed at me, told me he chooses who does and does not park at the pier and that he was tired of seeing white people. I was truly gobsmacked, and just walked away. I am now preparing a lawsuit against the Malibu Pier and the parking service that manages the lot for illegal discriminatory practices.

I hope the attendant gets sacked, truly. Whoever he is - he is a disgusting, reckless individual unfit to represent Malibu, the Pier, and the community...

Great local site. Plenty of activities and food offerings. Great fishing from the pier.

Malibu Pier in California is an iconic destination that perfectly encapsulates the laid-back, scenic charm of the West Coast. Originally built in 1905, the pier has a rich history and has been a beloved spot for both locals and tourists for over a century.

The pier offers breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean, with opportunities for stunning sunrises and sunsets that attract photographers and romantics alike. For fishing enthusiasts, the pier is a great spot to cast a line and enjoy a peaceful day by the water. Equipment rentals and bait are readily available, making it convenient for both seasoned anglers and beginners.

Malibu Pier is also home to some fantastic dining options. You can enjoy fresh seafood at the Malibu Farm Restaurant & Bar, or grab a casual bite at the Malibu Farm Pier Cafe, both of which offer delicious meals with unbeatable ocean views. The shopping at the pier includes quaint boutiques and gift shops where visitors can find unique souvenirs and local artisanal products.

For those looking for adventure, nearby water activities include surfing, paddleboarding, and kayaking. The pier’s proximity to Surfrider Beach, one of the most famous surf spots in the world, makes it an ideal destination for surfers and beach lovers.

Overall, Malibu Pier is a must-visit spot that offers a mix of history, relaxation, and fun activities. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the Los...
