I go to the place all the time and I'm really impressed on how the wait staff works. They're the kids of the owner and the restaurant is family owned. This time around I was very upset on fees they charged me for a group of 7 people. Don't get me wrong the food is great but charging $21 for a credit charge service fee is ridiculous on a $200 check. They charge the fee even though we were going to pay cash for the gratuity they put on the bill. After asking what the fee for the credit card was and telling them we are paying the gratuity in cash they took off $4 which made no sense. Besides that they decided to charge the gratuity after tax. I've been a waiter/bartender early in my life and I understand the service industry. When you get a large party it's tough. I understand that but a party of 7 isn't that bad. Putting plates, water, utensils napkins and all our food at one end of the table is ridiculous. We had to pass everything down to each other. After last night experience I think this might be the last time I will be going here. I told them about the fees and the gratuity and told them the calculations were extremely off. Paid an extra $70 to eat. I'm sure I'll find another thai...

That being said, the young guy that mans the store has a flattering sense of what is spicy for his Thai restaurant. If you are used to eating Fire Sauce at Taco Bell, the number two spice level at Bangkok Bistro Thai Eatery is below it. I imagine spice level number 3 is probably more around it.
I ordered a Thai basil dish with vegetables and fried tofu. Overall, I would say the dish beat the other remaining Thai restaurants in this general area, but on its own it didn't taste much like Thai basil. It seemed like they used salt to cover the lack of overall flavor so be prepared for that.
Lastly, this place is expensive. Very expensive for the quantity of food in the quality of skill in cooking it that you receive at the end. $17 for a smaller than usual size container was a bit too much to charge for.
Even the dry red chili that the game on the side is not typically Thai spicy level. So if you like your food with more heat than you may want to ask for extra red...
