Okay so let me start off by saying this place blew our expections with their catering!!!!!! 100 statrs if I could. It was our first time catering from them, but it will not be the last. At the beginning, we were helped by a young lady named Natalia. She was extretmly nice and helpful with offering us the best options for our party. Very knowlegeable, and if she was not sure about something, she would go and double check. This was important because there are places where things are discussed before the event, but then out of nowhere the outcome is different and the prices change. This was not the case. We got more than we expected. Our party took place on 8/3/19 . It was my niece's 15th birhday party and the party was at a park about 20 mins past Haymarket in Marshall. The delivery fee was fair and we decided to have them deliver so that we would not have to worry about dropping anything in our cars (I strongly suggest this option because it insures your food gets there intact). The food arrived on time and was it warm. We had opted to have burners and stands so that the food would be nice and hot when it came time for the set up. We had people lining up before they were done setting up becuse everything smelled so good. The chicken was VERY VERY well cooked and seasoned. Not burnt and mildly uncooked like other places around town. We had never hosted a party of this (120) size, and we actually ending up running out of the serving plates we had. The owner/ manager was the one who delievred (along wiht one other person) the food. Without us asking if he happened to have extras, he walked over to their delivery van and pulled out serving plates. WE were SOO SOO relieved, but THEN we noticed that we started to run low on one of the items we were serving. He once again pulled through for us. He made a call and had someone from the restaurant come out and delvier a tray of what we needed. THIS act of kindness literally almost brought us to tears. This was such a very busy day for us and we didnt know what to do! The worst thing that could happen at any party is to run out or run low on something without all of your guests eating. He looked at us and said "dont worry, I'll make a call everything is going to be okay no worries". Let me make one thing clear. This man was under no obligation to do this for us. He delivered what we had ordered, he went ABOVE AND BEYOND for us. This type of service is very hard to come by. Oh and let me not forget to mention that at no point was this man saying "oh well that will cost you more or well thats not what you ordered", none of that. He was very professional and truly cared about hellping us. Do yourselves a favor and cater from this place for your next party. They are so reasonably priced, the food was SOO YUMMY, and you will not find this kind of service else where. Hands down the best decision we made was to pick them. Thank you so much Guapos catering! From start to finish you guys are the best in town!!!!! We've already decided, and we'll see you guys again for our Christmas party this year!...
Read moreThe way you place an order in the restaurant is terrible. My mother was looking at the menu. When the cashier asked if she was ready to place her order, four Hispanics just cut right in front of her and you would think that the cashier would have told those patrons that she was helping my mother-nope. She just went on ahead and took their orders and was laughing and talking with them in Spanish. When she finally acknowledged my mother again, her demeanor switched to an attitude because my mother spoke English and had questions about what she was ordering. I refused to order anything from this place because of that and almost stepped in for my mother to tell her and the manager off in Spanish, but I decided to observe from the background. My mother placed her order. She gets her ticket and sits and waits for her food. Those that were waiting got their names called, got their food, and left-ok. Ten minutes go by-mom is still waiting. I told my mother to tell them that she was still waiting. Twenty minutes goes by, and a server finally asks her what was her name. My mother gave her the order number because the cashier never asked for her name. Another five minutes goes by. ANOTHER server comes and asks for her order number. They go back and scan the order screen, talk among themselves, and finally prepare her food ten minutes later!!! Thirty-five minutes to get a simple taco plate. By this time, I was furious, but because my mother ordered, I didn't say anything. I decided to let my anger out on a restaurant review page. I don't know if it was because my mother didn't speak or is not Hispanic or what, but that was RIDICULOUS!!! No one should be treated like that, and I'm sure if I had stepped in speaking Spanish, this review would not have needed...
Read moreGreat food. The chicken just melts in your mouth & is well seasoned.
Their steak burrito is great too, and I love their chaufa rice I also love the taco salad (with ground beef)
Honestly I don't believe I've had anything bad at guapos. & I've had it for a few years now. Customer service is pretty ok too, I haven't dined in in a while but when I did it was great. Also, keep in mind that their chicken wings appetizer is not rotisserie chicken it is just regular baked naked hot chicken wings, which was disappointing for me because I figured it'll be rotisserie’d
Also the sauce that comes on them was a bit salty for my liking. So request it on the side if you can. (As I did)
The only complaint I have is they treat their ORANGE sauce like it is the Krabby patty formula lol, you ask them for some and it doesnt matter if you bought 5 meals, they will only give you 1 or 2. And if you ask for more they only add one more and then at that point they almost get mad at you for asking for more and it's like what is three mini sauces going to do for five meals for five adults. Lol (Not the whitish light yellow sauce or the green sauce THE LIGHt ORANGE ONE. And only that one, they give you a whole bunch of the yellow & green one)
Anyways, I really like guapos and love the new...
