I honestly typically refrain from giving less than stellar reviews, in hopes my positive reviews will lead consumers toward those places and not the less than awesome places to spend their hard earned money. However, this has been a staple go to place for me for the last few years. The food is good and always warm. Hopefully management will see this and make some adjustments, and that is my intended outcome, not to bash this place. I waited at the please wait to be seated sign for a period of time that seemed longer than it likely was. There was maybe two or three at most diners there so it was not like they were busy by any standard. So I decided to sit at the counter, the waitress was sitting in a booth and came over with a menu to take my drink order in a reasonable amount of time. Like I mentioned the food is certainly not the issue, more on that in a moment. The establishment seems relatively clean and well kept. Plus the sign upon entry states they keep it clean for your safety. So that gives a bit of reassurance as far as signs go. Plus I noticed one of the staff members wash his hands while there so that was a positive. My salad came out fine (house side salad $5) then when my Turkey club melt came out with fries ($13) it was very good as this is what I almost always order and it is a great sandwich by the way, plus they recently did an upgrade to their French fries. The waitress asked to take my salad before I was finished while serving my sandwich. From that point I did not see her again until she collected by credit card and bill. Another server (the guy who washed his hands) greeted me and asked if I would like dessert, and I politely stated "no thank you, my bill but I would like another drink." He brought my refill and the bill. Then a bit later my server collected my credit card and brought me back the slip to sign. Atmosphere, hmm... I get family businesses but there were a few children running around that were the owners or employees. Additionally, what I thought to be guests dining must have been family waiting for employees. Usually the staff has a uniform or at least a standard dress code, one person cleaning tables was in a tee shirt so likely another family member helping out. It just seemed they were all occupied talking, on their cell phones, waiting and letting the children sort of rip around. The food good and if you try this place ask for Eric because he is a great server and my experience when he serves me is the exact opposite on point, great service and good food. For $22 and change, I wish I would have gone to Texas Road House instead, and had a steak instead of a turkey...
Read moreUPDATE! Friday, June 6, 2025 - ANOTHER FABULOUS MEAL!! We talked again with the charming owner, Erich, and were beautifully served by Roaf. We both had the delicious BLT, toasted to perfection (loaded with crispy bacon) and accompanied by chips for me and homemade vegetable soup for Mack. We hadn't been back in awhile and realized today how much we missed the fun atmosphere, wonderful people and terrific food. The giant menu offers anything anyone could want from breakfast to lunch and dinner. We certainly know where we will eat from now on every time we go to Manassas! Thank you for a wonderful meal. Annie and Mack Rowe, Madison, Va.
Absolutely FABULOUS!! We went to the Jukebox Diner for lunch on Saturday, August 19, chosen as the FIRST time we have eaten inside a restaurant since March 10, 2020! And we are SO clad we did!! David served us delicious sandwiches, special chips and homemade soup and, for dessert, he devised the most amazing and largest Hot Fudge Sundae we have ever seen - and we devoured it! Everything we ate was homemade and completely delicious = and the menu is gigantic. After lunch we met the whole friendly staff - David's grandfather, Eric, and David's sister and cousin - all of whom run the diner together. And it was not crowded so we couldn't resist DANCING to the wonderful 50s music that plays constantly. David and his family cheered when my husband swung me around and then kissed me! Jukebox Diner is our new favorite restaurant and a perfect in-between meeting place for our family members, most of whom live two hours apart. Jukebox Diner - Go there and be HAPPY! Read moreI take writing a review seriously and do not simply write a negative review based on a single negative experience. Unfortunately, we have visited The Juke Box Diner 4 times since moving to Manassas this summer and 3 of our 4 visits were less than adequate. Our food has taken up to 30 minutes (Multiple times) and we are only ordering simple dishes. One visit took so long that we had to ask them to box it to go before it even got to the table. We decided to give it another try and unfortunately, the story does not get any better. We order breakfast. Nothing special. This particular order took 25 minutes to arrive. Our breakfast burrito leaked like a faucet when picked up, was mushy and appeared to be microwaved. Needless to say, it was inedible. When our server inquired, I stated that it seemed to be microwaved. He informed us that they did not microwave their food. More so, was the defensive inflection in the response, nor were we asked if we would like something else. Either way, no one wants a soggy burrito. I am never the one to ask for an item to be removed as traditionally, if I do not like an item, that's on me. Following that trend, I did not ask for it to be removed, however, most resturaunts would remove it on their own. This did not happen. We have tried for our last time, which is unfortunate, because the motiff is so cool. You make your own decision of course, but felt this was worth sharing given their are so many local options that have delivered a...
