I called in an order for a whole chicken with 2 sides. Actually, originally I asked if they had a whole chicken special that came with drinks because I ate there recently and remember seeing a whole chicken special that I thought came with 2-3 sides and some drinks, but the person who took my order said no. I ended up just ordering a whole chicken that comes with two large sides.
My wife went to go pick up the food order under my name and called me because there was some confusion. I told her what I ordered to confirm with her and she said that the person there was saying it was two half chickens. Now obviously that makes a whole chicken, yes, but they get charged differently. I told her to get a couple canned sodas too but even then the order should've been less than what I was actually charged.
I found out the day after that instead of charging me for the whole chicken price, they charged for two orders of half chickens which is more expensive. I was told the total was $24 over the phone and like I mentioned we added two soft drinks but even then should've been under $30. We were ultimately charged ~$34.
As I'm writing this review too I'm noticing inconsistencies in their pricing. For example their online menu shows a whole chicken with 2 large sides for $22, but then the Spanish menu shows a whole chicken with 3 large sides and 4 canned drinks for $26 (that's the one I wanted)! Lastly, per customer photos of the actual physical menu in their restaurant, it shows the same special as the one in their online Spanish menu. That's the one I saw when I had eaten there in person a couple weeks prior which is why I asked the person who took my order like two or three times about it...
Anyway simply put, I find it annoying when I order something I asked for, get something else, then get overcharged. I was hopeful for this place because it's close to home but there are many other great Peruvian chicken spots in Manassas to...
Read moreWe went here after looking for Peruvian food, I'm used to Pollo Chicken spots around town, so actual Peruvian fare was something we were looking forward too. My GF and I went in, grabbed a table and looked at the menu. I had sort of made up my mind already by looking at the website that I wanted the pon con chicarron, with well done fries. My GF ordered something with rice, eggs, steak and plantains, can't remember the name of the dish.
We sat down, I grabbed the utensils, sauces napkins etc. Her food came out first, I was expecting mine to come soon after, we waited, she offered me some, which wasn't bad the rice was a little undercooked, the plantaims were nice. We saw others come in and sit and order and saw that the food came out in drabs, a table of 5 got their food seperatley, as did we. When my sandwich finally came, I asked about the fries, I was told "you asked for them well done" I replied " oh so I have to wait extra for those also, my GF plate was almost half done before my food came out, now I have to wait for the rest, wow" obviously she didn't like that, but as a custimer, especially dining with someone you expect the food to come out simultaneously, so you can eat together, not wait 10 minutes in between service, and then wait for the order to be completed throughly.
The Ceviche looked good, the chicken smelled good, but I would never set foot in there again because of the awful service, they don't have good management or a proper system in place to ensure orders get served in a timely manner and at the same time so that you can actually dine with your company. And finally if I wanted a ham sandwich I could've went to Subway, I ordered Chicarron not "ham slices" I think friends and family have them most of their...
Read moreTHIEVES! DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS! My boyfriend ordered 4 chickens and a couple of side from this location for a get together we were having. We ordered ahead of time for pick up later that day. When he placed the order he was told he had to pay in advance, so he did.
I went to pick up the chicken closer to the time of the party and was charged again. I paid, not realizing he had already paid. After the party we realized we both had paid for the chicken. We went back to the restaurant a couple day later as it was a holiday weekend (4th of July weekend). We explained what happened to the cashier, who remember taking my boyfriend's order and remembered charging him. He went through the past transactions and was able to pull up my payment and stated he couldn't find my boyfriend's, even though he remembered charging him. He let us know he wasn't allowed to do a refund and would call his boss. He talked to his boss and explained the situation, but never put him on the phone with us. He instead said that sometimes the charge will show up twice and the second one will eventually go away. We explained that wasn't the case because we used two different cards and we both had the charge on our individual cards. He let us know the owner would call us back, so I left my name and number.
I've yet to receive a call back! I've calling again and my boyfriend has gone back. The owner clearly has no intention of returning the extra $92.40 we were charged or even the...
