My girlfriend and I came last Friday night for dinner. With nobody to greet us at the door, we went ahead and seated ourselves. I should have heeded that red flag and turned around, because it took 15-20 minutes before anyone acknowledged us or took our drink orders. (During that time, we noted that another frustrated patron simply got up and left.)
I don't fault the single waiter working the floor, he made a valiant effort, but the restaurant was obviously understaffed. Meanwhile, two bouncers stood by the door playing on their phones...not sure what they were being paid to do, exactly.
Food was fine, but overpriced for the small portion size and presentation. Chicken bowl and wings were served in disposable paper containers. My girlfriend also thought her wine tasted cheap and bad. We ended up going to McDonald's afterward.
Needless to say, I do not recommend this restaurant.
EDIT: lowered my review rating from 3 stars to 1 star due to management's reply. Initially, I felt a bit bad posting negatively about a small business, but now I feel completely justified in having done so. Management obviously doesn't care about what was an objectively awful customer experience. That attitude is more telling than any...
Read moreThe list of positive things that I have to say about Haig’s is never-ending. The food, the atmosphere, the staff, and the drinks make Haig’s a must-visit, hang out when you are in Manchester. As our last stop on our Shrek Themed Bachelorette party (yes you read that right) 7 women dressed in Shrek character costumes were immediately welcomed by a friendly staff, and other patrons. Their reaction was priceless letting us know there were some fun, kind people at Haig’s. Our bartenders Eric and Calvin made sure that we had a great time. The owner and waitstaff were equally as friendly and accommodating. We spent some time inside playing pool and some of the arcade games before taking advantage of their beautiful outdoors space with cornhole and wonderful outdoor seating spaces. We spent the rest of our night there and we cannot wait to return. Thank you so much Haig’s staff for making our trip better than we could have even imagined. **also their sweatshirts are super...
Read moreJust wanted to take a sec to review Haig's... After living in Manchester a few months during summer of 2020, and 5-6 visits since, I could've said this is the best sports bar in town, with great food, affordable drinks, plenty of TVs and bar games for entertainment, etc. But Saturday night of Labor Day weekend, my family rented out Haig's for welcome drinks the night before my wedding. Not only was Paul super nice and easy to work with, the 2 Chrises behind the bar were killer. The staff accommodated everything we asked for, which I'm sure wasn't easy with my folks! All 125 guests were saying what a great time they had and what a fun spot it is. So whether you're looking to catch the game and eat some banging wings, or looking for an afterparty/welcome drinks for your Manchester wedding weekend, look no further...
