Mayan House Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Manchester

I DoorDash picked up my order today 8/30/24 . While I walked through the front door the man at the counter was checking out guests and I waited patiently. After they were done I walked up to the counter and showed the man my order details and told him that I had an online order and he said okay very rush/rudely towards me but then again he could of been busy so i continued to just wait patiently. He sat there at the counter for a few seconds and got up and im thinking he was going to get my order (my order was sitting where I could see it but there were no directions on the app telling me to just grab my own order, so I didn’t want to accidentally grab someone else’s order if it was not mine). No, he in fact did not. He walked over to the one table that was in the whole restaurant with 4 people and refilled one of their drinks, came back and then he finally looked at my order details and looked at the table and pointed and said “there” and I grabbed my order off the table while he was walking away. I felt very unwelcome there, and I don’t think I’ll be returning. It was my first time there and probably my last!! I understand you gotta take care of all customers, but they were sitting down at a table and my order was right there, your supposed to skip the line when you order online anyways. I just assumed that he would have handed me my order (since i approached him while at the counter), and then checked on his table. I would understand if I came in while he was going to refill their drink already. But to practically ignore me until he was ready to get my order was ridiculous in...

Most of the Latin American restaurants that my girlfriend and I have gone to have all been mostly the same as far as flavor and experience goes, however our experience at Mayan House was something we told everyone that would listen about the days following our trip there. The flavor of the food was delectable. The portions were very generous and the pricing was perfect considering how much quality food you are served. The cheese dip with seasoned beef and pico was the absolute best cheese dip I have ever eaten at a restaurant hands down, and tasted just as yummy being heated up. The service was great and it made for a very pleasant date night. We ordered a Mexican coffee from the drink menu and it was out of this world, if you’re hesitating on it, get it ! Flavor was good but both times my husband and I have picked up our order it has been cold by the time we get home. We live less than 10 minutes away. The first time, we arrived when they told us to, so the second time we went early. We had to wait until our food was ready, but that would have been fine if it had been hot. It was still cold. We had to reheat everything. The flavor of the fajitas was good, but the beans and rice are basically flavorless.

Our orders were also wrong both times. The first time, my husband ordered fajita nachos. They didn’t give him any chips and gave him tortillas instead. The second time I ordered regular fajitas, and they gave me chips instead of tortillas. 🤦🏼‍♀️

I hope their in person service is better, but I don’t think we’ll try...
