Jiffy Burger — Restaurant in Manchester

We were out on our first day of vacation on Saturday and knew this spot was along the way. We read the reviews and were excited to try for the first time. It was fairly busy when we arrived and we had to wait for about 5 minutes for a table to be cleared off, which was fine. The waitress told us that they were no longer serving breakfast (it was 10:35 AM) and we told her that was perfectly fine as it was our first visit and we had to try the burgers. It took over 45 minutes for a burger/tots and a burger/o-rings. As if that wasn't really bad enough, not once did the waitress come and give us a status, check on our order, or apologize. A local customer at a table across from us came over and said she overheard us say it was our first visit and she wanted to let us know that this was not normal. Our food was okay but we never got anything else to drink or checked on, just a ticket. When we went to pay and was asked if everything was okay, I mentioned it taking over 45 minutes to receive our burgers and the woman got very defensive and said they were busy and transitioning from breakfast/lunch. So let me say we don't expect perfection, my husband and I have both worked in the food service industry in years past...what we expected was a sincere apology. Wanted to call ahead and order some dinner, ended up calling 36 times in 20 minutes because the phone would ring one time, answer, then immediately hang up. Twice I did get someone to answer and say "jiffy burger please hold" then after about 2 or 3 minutes, the phone would hang up again... Finally someone answered again and, I hate to say it, but rudely I asked "can I PLEASE make a to go order now?!" The woman responded with "yeah what do you want??" And I told her how I didn't appreciate the rudeness after being hung up on three times, so she hung up again and I called back again and after the 5th time hearing "jiffy burger, please hold" I then over heard in the back ground some workers talking about how they weren't going to be the one to take my order because I said they hung up on me 3 times, someone else took my order. And of course no one talked to me about my experience nor was management notified to talk to me, but now I have this lovely review so I can let everyone know how unprofesional and rude some people can be and how they don't need to be in the costumer service industry whatsoever lol. Do better under pressure...

My wife and I had a pretty good experience at Jiffy Burger. She had eaten here a few years ago, but this was my first visit. It was nice to see the vintage signs around the restaurant. Really took me back to my childhood.

We ordered 2 sweet teas and checked out the menu. Tea was fantastic. I had a double bacon cheeseburger with batter dipped fries. The fries are amazing. Burger is pretty good. Frozen patty but good. If they made the patty from scratch, they'd have the best burger for about a 100 mile radius, but hardly anyone makes burgers from scratch today. Fresh tomatoes and bacon are delicious. Staff was friendly and the kitchen staff got our order out pretty quickly.
