EDIT/Update: I finally found out the reason they have so few low reviews.. they are calling people are offering them refunds in exchange to delete the reviews. I went into the restaurant and said I would like to speak with the manager and discuss what had happened. Remember.. they called me. I show up to the restaurant that is completely empty once again (big surprise) and then girl was laying across the counter on her phone and couldn’t be bothered to hide it. She continued to text and ignore me for a few seconds and finally acknowledged me. She and the older guy were both extremely rude and the old guy didn’t even want to talk. They opened the register and gave me cash and said “good you delete the review now” hahaha not how that works. Sorry.
So if you want to get sick and then yelled at for it by some horribly rude people this is your spot.
The quicker Yamatos closes the better.

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE! My wife and I spent 50 bucks here Sunday night to celebrate her new promotion.. instead we were gifted food poisoning courtesy of the fine folks of yamatos and we both threw more away than we ate! Fried rice had an odd metallic aftertaste and was gross and gritty. The white steamed rice was gummy and starting to turn clear. Chicken was atrocious and steak was so think it looks like steak-ums was used. The yum yum sauce was white and tasted like pure mayo. And they didn’t even give us fortune cookies. Then upon returning to work and telling coworkers I had two different people say they have had the same experience. No wonder the parking lots always empty. It’s a wonder they are open!
Will never return. Will never ever recommend. Close this place down and put...
Read moreI first tried to call in and order my food after working a 10 hour day. No answer 3 times. So I was like ok I’ll order my food and run to the store while I wait. Ordered paid in cash and went to the store. I was told ready in 20 minutes. It was 7 so easy to remember. Went back in at 7:18 told a few more minutes. Understandable I was 2 minutes early. I was then asked to sit down at 7:30 because it would be a few more minutes. I said I was told 20 it’s been 30 how much longer. I was told 10 more minutes and the other girl said almost done. I was asked to pay, I said I already paid. No problem. When my food was finally done at 7:43, I was AGAIN asked to pay. I wasn’t given a receipt when I paid (my fault for not asking for a receipt). I again said I’ve already paid. THEN I was asked WHAT BILLS DID I USE TO PAY! Ridiculous. 1 20 and 3 5’s 🙄 I was handed my food at 7:48 when I was told at 7 o’clock (when I got back to my car) it would be 20 minutes. I was told “sorry it’s our first day” when I was finally handed my food. Everyone’s first day? Come on now. I won’t be back and I will talk people out of going. Food was delicious tho but that’s all...
Read moreVisited on a Monday night (for our anniversary) and a Thursday night (for our daughters birthday) Both times we had the place almost to ourselves. From the outside this place doesn't look like much but the inside was clean and inviting. Staff are cheerful and friendly! The food is fresh and amazing with decent portions! The soups are really rich! And the ginger salad is the typical iceberg but the ginger dressing is better than usual not as sweet. The quality of the sashimi is obvious I'm usually hesitant to try it in a land lock state but I'm so glad we did. The hibachi had great flavor was cooked perfectly and my husband left full! My children devoured their food before we could get any pictures unfortunately, But we took some on our first night. Every dish is decorated and made special. They were so good with my children without knowing it was a birthday. How I would love to keep them our little secret place but I want them to succeed! Keep this restaurant in business please! What they lack from the outside looking in Manchester has a treasure we travel from...
