Stark Brewing Company in Manchester, NH for a flight of eight & a couple pints. I've been here multiple times since moving to the area in 2016, but it had been a couple years or so since my last visit. This is the second to last brewery in Manchester, NH I need to check off my list for a spotlight on my page, but I'm sure something new will open up again soon. The last time I was here was for a taco tour stop in 2022 where I had a few pours of THE IMP Imperial stout & ended up needing a good nap afterwards. Definitely a original staple in New Hampshire being the second brewery to open in the state in 1994 under the previous name "Stark Mill Brewery" before becoming the Stark Brewing Company we know today. I tried ten different beers this trip of varying styles so let's get to work. 🍻🍺🔥
I'll talk about my favorite four tasters from my flight of eight first. I'm not a big shandy fan, but the SER POUNCE SHANDY was really good for the style & I would have drank a full pour of this on a hot summer day. CHLOE'S COTTON CANDY Sour was delicious & had a ton of flavor for a light bodied low ABV beer. The two ciders I got at the end of my flight were both equally excellent with the STARK ORCHARDS ROSE & STARK ORCHARDS BLUEBERRY exceeding my expectations. I ended my trip with a couple pints, OKTOBERFEST Festbier & BLUEBERRY GRUMPY PUMPKIN Yam, with the OKTOBERFEST being my favorite of those two pours. 🍻🍻🔥
All the seating options here with a good size bar, tables & hightops. The taproom & restaurant was brighter than I previously remember inside which was good since I remember it being dark before & I need all the light I can to help me stay awake during a good drinking session. I didn't eat anything during this visit, but remember having a really good chicken quesadilla on a prior trip. These guys are known for doing some great charity work for the community as well, which is always commendable. The bartender Malika was super friendly & outgoing as well. A great visit overall & better than I remember, check them out again soon. 🍻🍻🔥❄☘

We had about 2 of your beers each, I ordered and ate 2 appetizers, and my friends had an entree each. My friend who I will refer to as G, ordered BOURBON BRISKET - $15.00 - Smoked brisket with Bourbon BBQ, bacon and Cheddar. When it arrived it definitely looked like what she had ordered but it lacked lust for sure. It truly looked like something you’d expect to get served at a large production buffet or like you’d receive at a cafeteria in middle school. G, still ate it since we had already been waiting quiet awhile since it was already so busy. This is a decision she greatly regretted about an hour or two after finishing it. This was the point in which G started feeling extremely ill (stomach extremely upset - immediate need for the bathroom - I will leave it at that) We all live in Massachusetts and this all started happening on the ride back home. We were relishing in the amazing day we all got to have together and then to have this happen has left us all with a much different feeling. She was already not impressed with how the food look and its lack of any real taste to then have this is just ridiculous. There is something that went extremely wrong in the kitchen that night when preparing her meal. I would also like to add that the bathrooms (both Male and Female) were disgusting. I’m extremely outraged that this culmination of events completely ruined a beautiful day with friends and has continued into more discomfort for my friend G. It makes me even more concerned and livid that we had these particular issues DURING A GLOBAL PANDEMIC. If there is not enough staff to properly operate your establishment, why even be open that evening?! I feel that whom ever made that decision to stay open was clearly caring more about potential earnings rather than the SAFTY of their guests, staff, or community around them. None of us will EVER be returning to this restaurant or anything associated with it. If the opportunity arises I will try and warn people considering this restaurant as a legitimate option to highly reconsider. I will say that our server Jared was very friendly and helpful during...
Read moreBought two couptopia deals here - one for my husband and myself and one for my daughter and boyfriend. My husband and I went with another couple and had a great time- great service, food and beer . The owner, Peter, even thanked us on our way out. We were impressed and gave rave reviews to friends to try this place out. My daughter went this past weekend with friends and had a completely different experience. The bartender took the "coupon" from her as she was reading it and questioned it's validity ( Peter, the owner, later explains to me on the phone that it did not look legitimate- not our problem): they questioned the expiration date ( it was still valid- not even close to the expiration date) and they told her it was not an appropriate day for a tour ( coupon was not for a tour, it was for food and drink). My daughter said after they verified the "deal" was legitimate they accepted it and did apologize.
I just called Milly's, as I could not find a way to contact them via email, Peter answered.I told him the above and he kept "interrupting" me telling me he wanted to tell "his side of the story".... his side is:they did apologize ( they owed her that), they did honor the "deal" ( they should -it was valid ) and he repeatedly told me how the printed deal looked suspicious( we have no control over how the site you are using and advertising with sets the printing up AND.... I brought in the SAME printout and the server RESPECTFULLY said they needed to double check it ). Wow.... what horrible customer service! Good customer service apologizes and takes responsibility! Why would I, or my daughter and her friends ever return to this business or give a...
