It wasn’t really a busy day, the lady in-front of me finished her order and stepped aside. I walk up to the counter and the cashier immediately walks away to the back, and appeared to be stocking stuff. The other employee also ignored me, and instead of taking my order, was wiping the counters and machines. I waited a good 4 minutes to order while they stocked, cleaned, and conversed. Nobody was behind me! No big deal, just poor etiquette. As someone who works cashier at a food / retail facility, you never make the customer wait. Read moreThis SBUX venue is the last one I had the opportunity to stop in and it may be one of their newest locations right around the corner from Whole Foods (another great venue) which is soon to open. I stopped in to use their facilities and experienced NO resistance. In fact Howard Schultz (Starbucks Chairman) said yesterday (May 10) that Starbucks' bathrooms will be open to anyone who wants to use them, whether they're a paying customer or not. They wanted to charge me $4.83 FOR WATER. "It's store policy that we charge it like a custom iced tea." I would've paid anywhere between $1-$2, but that is straight corporate greed.
