Susie Kay’s Cafe — Restaurant in Manitowoc

I honestly don't know what restaurant everyone else has eaten at, because the service I had at this place was hands down the worst experience dining out Ive ever witnessed. We LITERALLY waited for our meals (4 burgers and sides) for over an hour and a half...AFTER ORDERING. Only 2 other tables were being patronized. Not busy. About 30 minutes in, we started to complain. We had ordered soup first but told them to cancel it because of the wait. Still took an hour after that.... god knows how long it would have been if we wanted the soup. I was about to leave but my mom was adamant to see what was going to happen because after an hour of waiting it actually started to become comical. My friend and I went to the gem shop next door and were able to look around and get some things, come back, and the food still had not come. Finally after all the time waiting, she gives us our food and runs away with out us having utensils. We tried to flag her down after she went back to the kitchen but she was knowhere to be found so my mom literally had to go behind their diner counter and get us our silverware. To top it off, I went to the bathroom before we left... they had various holiday decorations in open boxes under the sink... wide open, like 5 feet from the toilet. We were their around Halloween so they still had that stuff up in the main room. So, it was nice knowing I ate my food surrounded by poop and pee misted decorations. Our party of 4 was the second in the door, we were there waiting for them to open. Got our drinks (3 coffee and 1 orange juice) ordered our food and waited an hour and 15 minutes without being served food. The waitress poured 2 more rounds of coffee, but other than that, completely ignored us. Tables were being served, they finished, left, another table was sat, served and were eating. That happened to two different tables while we waited. We finally had enough, I dropped $5 on the table and we left. I contacted them via messenger on Facebook only to get the excuse that they "cook to order" and there's a sign saying that. I did reply that is why we were patient and willing to wait, but am got and 15 minutes without even telling us anything about our order is ridiculous. I'll never go back, the other place was much nicer atmosphere, quicker, with friendlier service

EDIT TO ADD; I see the owner has answered me, but not apologized, just made excuses. Nothing wrong was said to any waitress of any age. Just that we waited FAR TOO LONG! We didn't want fast food, we wanted home cooked, good food. An hour and 15 minutes is far too long for any restaurant. We were there waiting for you to open, and left at 9:15, that is exactly ONE HOUR AND FIFTEEN MINUTES. You can lie and try to make me look bad all you want, the truth is the truth. You not owning it is a huge problem. Fortunately I won't have to deal with this...

I come here all the time with my boyfriend for breakfast dates since that's the only we get time together cause we are always working.. Well today I get 26$ added to my bill cause almost a year ago she said i skipped out on a bill mind you I've been coming here every 2 weeks since i had supposedly skipped out on this bill #1 if I had done this why did it take almost a year for you or anyone to say anything to me. #2 This is my favorite spot in town to eat at why would i even do this #3 She completely humiliated my boyfriend and myself in front of everyone in the restaurant #4 why would she not have called the cops rite when this happened why you she wait a year.!?
