I have written an extensive review of ALDI'S whilst living in Arizona. I also wrote about their lengthy history as well as how they began, how they have succeeded, and continue to be a worldwide success. A few weeks ago, I had to spend some brief time in Lancaster, and while I did not think I'd be reviewing ALDI'S, again- one never knows! I made a brief stop at ALDI, to pick up produce, along with some other basic items. As always, their employees were very polite, as was the cashier. I departed by noon and arrived home by 1 p.m. That evening, as I began removing my jewelry; I reached to remove my bracelets too. I knew immediately that my valued charm bracelet was not on my wrist, and I knew that I had not removed it. I usually need my husband's assistance or another individual's help. I thought about how busy I was that morning, and how hurriedly I had left my home. What stuck out the most to me, was that I had requested one of my younger sons to try to assist me in attaching the clasp. He had become irritated quite quickly with it, which is common with the type of clasp it contains. I kept thinking that he had possibly attached it to one of the charms themselves which inadvertently would leave the clasp open, even if only a bit. It was now almost midnight! My husband looked in all the usual locations, as well as by the vehicle and inside the vehicle. I truly felt ill. This was an 18-carat gold charm bracelet, which belonged to my deceased sister and I knew every charm on it. My husband stated that he would stop by ALDI on his way home from work. I felt quite horrible about taking up his time, as I truly did not think anyone would return such an item. My thoughts went to a moment decades prior, when I had discovered an emerald and diamond bracelet. I was quite young and taken by it, although I knew keeping it was wrong. The choice that I made was the wrong choice. Maybe, that is why I had never worn it and was uncomfortable even having it- because it was not mine. I thought of the person who had found my sister's charm bracelet and how they were likely admiring it and wearing it. I felt quite glum about ever receiving this back. I said a prayer to Saint Anthony," Saint Anthony, Saint Anthony please look around, my bracelet has been lost, please let it be found." I sat down and composed a " reward sign. " Not only did it contain charms, but also two birth placards. I wrote on the reward sign, that if one could identify one of my nephews' names, and return it to me, I would give a cash award. My husband came home empty-handed. He stated that he would go again tomorrow, after work. I hated that this was consuming my husband's time. I had just finished homeschooling when my husband phoned me the next night and asked me to look at my texts. Lo and behold, it was a photo of him holding it! Immense gratitude filled me. I still did not feel right in my spirit, as my thoughts easily recalled the bracelet that I had kept for so many decades. That emerald and diamond bracelet no longer was a resident of my home, as I'd had given it on to a deserving 80-something-year-old widow, who had always been kind to me. My husband explained the situation to the manager who simply stated that they could check the lost and found. The bracelet had been turned in! I was stunned and humbly gracious that there were still individuals in this world who were honest. I wished that I could have turned the clock back thirty-five years, and as a young and dumb teen, that I would have made the right decision upon finding the emerald /diamond bracelet. Giving it away to someone else seemed worthy. Far better than it taking up residence in my home, mind, or heart. Thank you to Lancaster's ALDI for the honesty of...
Read moreYou might not find everything you need but you do fill your cart up. Produce was fresh. Not all products are brand names. I have tried their generic brands. I really like the brand Clancy. They mainly carry snack foods. Plenty of room to pass other shoppers w out fender bending. Lol. Seriously. Plenty of foods, clean and roomy and my clerk was exceptionally nice. Kind. I was having a bad day. She went out if her way to calm me down. I was holding up the the couple behind me do to me not being able to find my EBT card. She kindly told me to take my time. She could ring up the next customers. After she took care of them she came over to let me know to take my time. She went out of call of duty. Anyways I'm sure you will enjoy shopping there. While you are bargain shopping, across the street is the...
Read moreHave shopped at this Aldi since it opened. Find customers more friendly than the staff. A manager actually accused me of hitting her employee when I did no such thing. I merely lightly bumped into her when I tried to negotiate around a big motorized truck they had blocking the deli case and. I apologized. She told me to go around but there was also a person standing there for awhile so I thought I could squeeze through without disturbing the trainer and trainee. She was extremely rude and has no sense if customer service. Perhaps she will be more considerate about where she parks her equipment. I will shop at the other Aldi in Lancaster from now on. I always liked the staff there...
