Emily is by far the worst employee I've encountered at a restaurant. Not only did she essentially accuse us of lying and stealing, but she also asked us to majorly inconvenience ourselves over noodles. Yes, noodles that were not fresh, and we simply asked for them to be corrected.
When we called to complain, Emily insisted the noodles were fresh and asked us to drive back to return the food, get nothing that day, then come back the next day for a refund. When we returned with the food another day, she then refused the refund, saying "oh, you ate some of the food." When we refused to leave without a refund, she called the police. The manager was never available, and we were denied the opportunity to speak with her. I have a phone recording of the entire interaction.
Emily and her manager, whose name I was never offered nor given a chance to speak to, deserve to be terminated or at the very least heavily reprimanded for the handling of my experience at the Panda Express in Manor, TX.
Visiting the restaurant close to closing time, we were given old noodles. Upon getting home, I immediately called to complain. Emily essentially said I was lying and insisted the noodles were fresh. I agreed to bring them back, but she said I would then need to return the next day for a refund. This was absurd; how can you expect a customer to drive back and forth multiple times for a $12 refund? She refused to call the manager for a solution.
When I finally returned with the old food, Emily said the manager was not there and refused the refund, saying it looked like we ate some of it. After doing all this, I refused to leave without a refund. Emily then called the police. The manager, who I still have yet to speak with, instructed Emily to call the police instead of handling the situation.
My wife and I both have MBAs and work as a city utilities worker and a bank manager, respectively. We have adequate means to not be extremely concerned with $12; however, this became a matter of principle. The police, who were very professional, agreed that Panda Express did not handle it well. Corporate customer service eventually resolved the issue through a phone call, but it should never have come this far over noodles, shrimp, and chicken.
This was a deeply disappointing experience, and I strongly urge Panda Express to take action against Emily and the...
Read moreThis place needs to get their act together. They were out of rice and half of the entrees. They were also out of medium cups 🥤 so I got a small. They had signs that said they were only accepting exact change or credit card so I used a card. I went to the drink fountain and found out they were out of almost half the drinks. I went to get a lemonade but it came out straight water💧. I went back to the cash register and kindly asked for a refund on the fountain drink because I don't drink soda and they were out of lemonade. She didn't understand what my problem was so she got another lady to help me .She said well there is also tea for a non soda choice. I told her I don't like tea plus it's against my religion anyways. She then told me she didn't have the authority to give me a refund because she isnt a manager. I told her to get a manager. She told me there was no manager there. I told her to call one. She then told me that her manage just walked in the store. They talked and agreed to reimburse me for the fountain drink but I had to return the small cup I got for a mini water cup. She then asked if it was ok to give me cash 💸. I suprised that that was possible when they refused to take cash unless it was exact change. The only reason we came here was because the Wendy's next door had no a/c and was still operating with 100°+ temperatures inside it was literally cooler outside with these triple digit Temps we are having. What a mess. To top it all off after I finished this review I went to the bathroom real quick, because I'm making a drive from Austin to Houston. I left my to-go container of food and my drink sitting on top of it sitting on the table, and I was in the bathroom barley a minute. I returned to my table to see my food and drink had been thrown in the trash. And when I confronted the lady cleaning the dining area she said she didn't do it. So I pulled my drink and cup out of the trash and showed it to her. She apologized and got me new chow main. And a new water cup now let me remind you this is now my 3rd cup 🥤 the original small cup that I couldn't have because I wanted water and then the water cup that they threw away and now a replacement water cup. Lord I hope the rest of my trip...
Read moreI called in to order over the phone at 9:20 pm and was told by the manager on duty that they don’t take phone orders, but the lobby was open until 10:00 pm, and the driveway would be open until 10:30 pm. I told the lady I had never used their online system before, but I figured if I wanted to be a customer I had to go with the system. After putting all the order in it was sometime about 9:30pm as I had never used it before. After figuring out the online system, and trying to submit our finished order, the website said that the location was not accepting on line orders at that time. I again called the restaurant to tell them the online system wasn’t allowing orders and to once again try to order by phone. I was again told that they didn't know why the system didn’t work and that they would be open until 10:30 pm and that they could not take phone orders. We then drove to the restaurant and arrived at 10:05 pm and the restaurant was closed and a car was blocking the drive through to keep other cars from being able to go to the drive up window. I called the restaurant again and was told by the manager that they closed early because a cook left. So, I tried to order by phone, via online, and in person and followed instructions from employees each time only to end up with no food after trying for nearly an hour. The person in charge said the employees were only teenagers. The young lady in charge sounded to be maybe 22 as well. What I find distasteful is the lack of respect for customers or their time. We really tried hard to get their mediocre food as there are not always good options in the area. Can anybody please get an adult to run this store and not give the customers such...
