Numerous other reviews of this place have already given it one star and there has been no response from Whataburger (at least on any of the bad Google reviews). Tonight I'll be adding one more bad review to the pile.
Ordered through the app. I actually ordered through the app the moment I got in line, because I knew it was going to be slow. They have started doing this thing recently where they open both speakers in the drive thru, but then make you merge into the first lane if you're in the second to go to the window, which doesn't improve their times so I don't know why they do it. This is what happened to me. I pulled into the second lane, got asked to wait "for a minute", waited 25 MINUTES, and got served BEFORE the guy in the first lane who had been there since I pulled up.
Waiting in line also took forever. They constantly ask for people to pull up to the red line and it creates this massive traffic jam if they close the second lane by putting up cones (which they do frequently at night) because sometimes smaller orders get completed behind the person at the red line, and then no one can go anywhere.
I ordered two grilled cheeses with grilled onions, a large fry, and a large chocolate malt. At the window, the lady handed me my food first and then went to make my shake. I checked the food during this time because a lot of fast food places in Manor miss special requests, so I got in the habit of checking food.
No grilled onions on these grilled cheeses, though the fries were hot.
When she comes back, she tells me that they don't actually have chocolate (annoying, I wish it would have reflected that in the app), and offers me a different flavor. I choose one and also tell her the grilled cheeses don't have grilled onions. She asks to see ONE sandwich (this is important) and the receipt, so I give her those things, and I make sure to tell her that BOTH the grilled cheeses were wrong. And then she is very apologetic and walks off to go fix it (and asks me to pull up to the red line, go figure). When she comes back 10 minutes later, she hands me my old sandwich (which had cooled and dried out a bit by this point) to keep and a newly remade ONE. I told her again there were supposed to be two. She asks for receipt again. Again very apologetic, and again runs off.
My hot fries are now lukewarm.
15 MINUTES LATER, she comes back with the second one. And my fries are cold. I am done messing with it at this point though, and I leave.
I arrived at Whataburger at 10:20pm. I left at 11:35pm. It is insane to me that in the last few years, Whataburger has raised prices, cut out a TON of their menu, and made service worse here. I live in Manor so I thought it was more convenient to go to this location, but maybe I'll try what another reviewer did and go to the Elgin...
Read moreI must say I love Whataburger, I'm a Texan and always say great things about Whataburger. After my experience tonight with the Whataburger in Manor I was very disappointed. I ordered my food from the outside lane and then pulled up. A young lady walked up confirmed my order and swiped my card on the tablet. Everything all good. After pulling up to the front of the line another young lady walked up and asked what I ordered. I told her and she said how did you pay, I told her with the other young lady and she then asked me for my receipt. I didn't get a receipt then she said they didn't have a record of my order???? I told her the first young lady repeated my order back to me, I pulled up my bank app and showed her the purchase. She walked away without saying a word. After seeing the first young lady walk back and fourth I asked her if everything was OK with my order. She also had no clue about my order. She walked back to check on it. After a few minutes of seeing both the first and second young ladies walk back and fourth I had to flag them down and ask AGAIN about my order. They didn't apologize and update me on the order, they asked me to go park because a few cars behind me received there order. They were getting food 4 cars deep behind me and couldn't even update me on my order? Terrible experience, I wish it ended there. After parking and reviewing my order for the third time with someone it took another 10 minutes to get my food. Brought my food out and then walked away, I had to ask for my drinks. The person said you ordered drinks?? Another long wait for my drinks and I was ready to eat. Food was cold and I paid for 9 chicken strips and they only gave me 3. Just terrible effort tonight from Whataburger in Manor. Needless to say I will never be going back to this location and possible any Whataburger as I see they are selling Whataburger for 6 billion. Can't get a simple order right to someone who has been loyal for so long. 30 minutes waiting and not once did anyone apologize. This isn't the Whataburger...
Read moreMy mom, dad, two brothers and I were on our way to my sister's graduation and we needed something quick that could accommodate a vegetarian (just a buscuit and honey butter worked for the vegetarian) and I talked our whole family into going to Whataburger because I thought it would make everyone happy. We went inside to order since 5 orders through a drive thru could get annoying. The girl at the cash register was obviously new, but very sweet, and asked her manager, Elizabeth (I believe was her name), for assistance. Instead of helping her and having patience she just took the order for her and sounded aggravated through the entire process. That isn't how you teach someone. Elizabeth also wasn't very kind to anyone in my family ordering and let her aggravated tone come through to us. We then got our order and the honey butter was missing. So I went up with up with the receipt to show them and ask to get it. I was ignored by Elizabeth for enough time for my family to finish their meal without me and finally got the young girls attention and asked for honey butter, and she didn't know where it was (thus confirming my suspicion that she was new) and she tried to ask everyone to get her some honey butter and no one seemed to be helping her. I finally got the honey butter and my family - minus the person that needed it - had finished eating and we had to eat in the car because we needed to get back on the road. Elizabeth, teach your employees/co-workers instead of doing the work for them and perhaps show some kindness. It was a horrible experience and my family all talked about how bad we felt for the girl who asked for your help. Maybe you were just having a bad day, but either way that treatment was unnecessary to both your customer and your employee/co-worker.
This is also the only bad review I have ever given. Go to my Google profile and see. That's how rude...
