I've been visiting this Starbucks in Manor, Texas, since I moved here in 2021, and I must say, I am truly impressed by the incredible service I always receive from the entire staff and management. One particular barista, Derek, stands out for his exceptional passion for coffee and dedication to serving others. From the moment I walk in or drive through, Derek and his team greet me with a warm smile and genuine enthusiasm. His love for coffee was evident in the way he talked about the different blends and flavors, always helping me choose the perfect drink for my taste preferences and even recommending new flavors. It is refreshing to see someone so knowledgeable and passionate about their craft. But what really sets Derek apart is his amazing customer service skills. Not only did he take the time to ensure my order was just right (repeats and confirms it every time), but he also goes above and beyond to make sure I have a great experience. He engages in friendly conversation, making me feel welcome and valued as a customer. He is also a very funny guy, Derek's kindness and friendliness are truly remarkable. He takes the time to get to know me and remembers my name and drink preferences on subsequent visits. He knows what I want before I even order. His personalized service always makes me feel like a valued regular.
I believe that Starbucks could benefit greatly from having more baristas like Derek on their team. His style, passion, and commitment to serving others have set a high standard for excellence in customer service. He is a shining example of how a positive attitude and genuine care for others can make a significant impact on the overall customer experience. I can not speak highly enough of Derek and the exceptional service he has provided during my visits to Starbucks in Manor. His passion for coffee, amazing customer service skills, and above-and-beyond attitude make him a valuable asset to the team. I highly recommend this Starbucks location to anyone looking for a great cup of coffee served with a side of genuine kindness. Thank you, Derek, and your team for always making my visits to Starbucks truly memorable. You are all indeed very special human beings. See...
Read moreWorst Starbucks, ever. I have been wanting to write this review since it opened and they messed up 4 out of my first 5 orders over the course of a month, but I waited, thinking it'd get better. These days, the orders come out wrong about 10% of the time, which, although better than the first month, is a HUGE departure from every other Starbucks I've ever been to. The iced drinks come out leaking from the lid, and they don't give you napkins, so when you realize it's a messy cup, it's all over the place in the car and on your clothes and you can't do anything about it unless you have napkins in the car. There is one guy who is snarky and arrogant and sarcastically rude about 85% of the time. I have read other reviews and I completely believe that he would mess up the straw for the venti and then claim that he's getting it right. I have also read about the red-haired girl, who is terribly lacking in customer service skills, and I have had the same experience with her. She's annoyed with the fact that customers exist. The food is rarely fresh, the bakery items taste like day-old goods, and they are often out of things on the menu. To be fair, all of this is better than it was when they first opened, but it is always an awkward, uncomfortable experience to go to this Starbucks, so I usually try not to go to this location. Most times that I do end up here, I regret it. Other Starbucks locations put the straw in your drink for you, they give you a couple napkins, they smile and wish you a nice day, and the baked goods taste fresh and soft and delicious. At Lexington and 290 they practically throw the drink at you, it drips all over, and the baked goods taste like they are a day old, crusty and stale. It is still Starbucks, but I don't understand how it can be a Starbucks...
Read moreInsanely horrible experience here being my first time there tonight since we moved to Manor TX. The employees made me feel like I was a burden to the business, I was really looking forward to this location, but they made me feel most unwelcomed, I almost shouted at them. These way they made me feel and the bad impression they left me with just has been staying with me for all night.
I started by waiting many minutes to even be greeted when I walked in and their back was turned to me even though I stood there helpless. I was the one to automatically greet/acknowledge THEM originally. One guy said out loud to his co-worker "Im on break", pointed away, and so the rude short girl with clear-framed glasses ROLLED her eyes and treated me rudely (she had been like this/acted this way before to my husband who had purchased drinks there previously in the evenings). It was my first time to order from the Starbucks app, so I ordered ahead and even payed ahead as well (made it easier on them I guess for these little kids), so I was not aware or did not know where to pick it up. I asked her and she briefly said words and pointed half-assed at counter. Once my two drinks were ready, I was not thanked or anything.
I am shocked at what I saw, felt and experienced. Seriously, this location lacks Customer Service basics, they're payed to do this! I am in Customer Service myself and this was just an unbelievable and bad experience. DO NOT VISIT...
