he originally opened his first wrap shop in narragansett rhode island and now gansett wraps is in a few towns across connecticut and rhode island

first timers have to try the gyro falafel

its a beef gyro, with housemade falafel, lettuce, tomatoes, onions and tzatziki sauce. the sauce is so savory and falafel which is a blend of chickpeas and spices added so much flavor

other wraps can be stuffed with chicken, bacon, veggies and even french fries

I'm so mad that I waited so long to try Gansett Wraps. The owners were very nice in helping me order based on a combination of things I wanted. Everything is much more flavorful than what I've had elsewhere -- the Greek dressing, the Tzatziki sauce, the gyro meat, the Tabbouleh... I can't wait to try their hummus. Their portions are generous and the prices are outstanding, which I hardly want to say for fear they'll raise them. My order was prepared very quickly. I'll be a regular, for sure. We needed a bite before heading to a show at Jorgenson Theater (Song of the North- fabulous). Gansett had my son with the many UConn sports teams posters. I wanted something edible, but was surprised by the array of choices, including a number of middle eastern faves. I settled on a BLT wrap and falafel with tahini, and son found he could get a cheeseburger wrapped or on a sandwich roll. Vegan options were also on offer. The food was swiftly prepared behind a massive counter and we were gnoshing happily in a few moments. No table service, but good food made fast and furious. Perfect campus...
