I recently visited Luna Grill with my mother, eager to try the restaurant for the first time. Upon arrival, we were surprised to find no cars outside despite it being a Sunday, just after church. When we walked in, we noticed there were no customers inside, except for one family dining outdoors.
As we approached the counter to order, my mother commented that there was an unusual smell in the restaurant. Initially, I thought it might be the food, but it turned out to be a strong odor resembling sewer water with an undertone of raw chicken. My mother politely mentioned the smell to the staff, asking if they noticed it as well. Unfortunately, the employee at the front ignored our comment entirely.
A few moments later, a different man who appeared to be the cook made an unprofessional comment from behind the counter, loudly saying, "Who the hell comes here saying it smells bad when they first walk in?" He then continued to laugh and make snide remarks about our comment literally right in front of us, creating an uncomfortable and unpleasant atmosphere (and we had not even ordered!). After noticing that we had heard him, he briefly explained that they had been cleaning in the back, but his behavior still left a sour impression and STILL did not explain the absolutely disgusting smell inside.
Given the lack of professionalism and the unsettling ambiance, we decided to leave and take our business elsewhere. I was deeply disappointed by the experience and would not recommend this location based on the rude service and the unpleasant smell. Read moreMy daughter wanted a beyond burger. It was something she and her grandmother would have together when gram lived here. We don’t particularly like Luna grill as a household. I always found the chicken very dry. When they first arrived in mansfield it was respectable eating. But as time went on, the food and service became subpar. But my daughter wanted a beyond burger, so I allowed her to get one. The first burger was “chunky” as she expressed. I can’t tell you what that means, but she’s eaten enough of them to know that there was something odd about it’s taste/texture. She called and sweetly stated her concern and they politely ask her to come back and they’d redo her burger. She and my older daughter returned, she got a second burger. The lady asked if it was okay. My 14 yo daughter politely said “it seems fine.” When she gets home, I noticed she disassembling the burger. So I walk over to see what’s going on. She assures me that it’s okay and she’ll make do. But I’m looking at the burger and it’s pink!!!! And floppy! And COLD!! What on earth….!!!!!! Second time. And the burger is fricken cold. Nevermind the pinkness. $16 spent for one kid. It’s COLD. I can’t say that enough. COLD COLD COLD!!! We live 2 minutes away!! I did make a phone call to express my sheer disgust. Read moreThe food is really good, I cannot take that away from Luna. The only reason this review is not 5 stars is the experience we had with the staff and dining experience this evening. We arrived at 830, and as I understand it is near closing time there were other guests including my family trying to enjoy their meal all the while the staff including the manager on duty was goofing around, yelling and laughing at each other, 2 of the girls were flirting with 2 guests, highly inappropriate behavior for any business environment unless you're in a bar.. etc They were also stacking chairs around us making it absolutely impossible to hear each other over that and their cackling. When we asked them if they could wipe our table before we sat down she said yes but never came back, instead was flirting with the guests. Our 2 year old spilled his water I asked if tbey could mop it up... Her reply was "we'll do it later" and then the same girl slipped and almost fell because of the water. I spoke to the manager about our experience and him being obviously very inexperienced in any type of customer service gave some generic reply and as soon as I walked out starting laughing with the crew and the 2 guests. In fact one of the guests came out and was mouthing something to me obviously unhappy I had complained about the workers they were flirting with.
