First and foremost there are some super amazing employees that work here and I interact with when I shop here which is our main grocery store. I will say I am beyond frustrated by the many many times I have bought en clearance items and now I take pictures before I even go to check out if they have a person at a register. I read the serial number and make sure the clearance items I am buying match. Every time I go to check out they are never the price it says! I have to show a worker the picture of the item and the serial # and this happens %98 percent of the time I shop and find a clearance item on a shelf. It doesn’t matter if you have typed in your Kroger card or not the clearance item will ring up as the clearance price. You don’t need to type in your number like you do for the savings and or coupons you downloaded on the app. I’m so frustrated that this Kroger is selling expired old items and I spend more time looking at the expiration dates on everything now before I make any purchases. As today I had to use the 1 check out lane with a cashier as my basket was filled. There was no bagger and no bags and I had to go find bags from another station and bag my own groceries as the line got longer behind me. This is getting ridiculous. I absolutely hate coming here now since they blocked off one of the 3 main entrances and I bank with that bank and it’s just too much. I will be cancelling my bank with first convenience and will start shopping somewhere else to avoid all this chaos here and having to really pay attention to the pricing because half the time it’s an old sale posted and as a consumer that is what I see so I buy it. Well when I get to the register it’s not that price and the rote answer is “oh they must have no changed out the sign”. Here is proof that they are selling expired items. The time on the photo doesn’t lie. I checked all the bags and yes they are all expired. This is happening throughout the store now. 6/1/2025- once again they have 1 lane open and always someone who is elderly working it. They have the younger crowd standing around for self check out. This isn’t making any sense anymore. I hope someone who is in corporate sees this as this store is the worst now. I hate shopping here. Soon we will be living away from this Kroger and on to another better store where we don’t have to take pictures of clearance items and do double and triple checks at the register. The employees wear ear buds and just don’t care to help at all. It’s just not acceptable anymore. Yourmanagement has let this store go to hell. Do better. No lines ever open and just the frustration on peoples Faces and hole your trying to check out in the one and only line that has a cashier to make sure your items are rang up correctly because this Kroger never has the same prices they show on the shelves and when you get to the counter it’s always a problem. Customer service is non existent and it’s just to the point where I am done! Take care...
Read moreMatlock Dr - Mansfield Texas location. I want to share my experience with you about my visit to this location. I live near the Green Oak Blvd location in Southwest Arlington, Tx. I visited this other location because my location is often PACKED and hard to get in and out of... so I made the trip to another location. The Matlock Rd in Mansfield Texas was a insult to the Kroger name. First of all, the produce department was VERY VERY un-stocked. many empty areas, and this is not only for "advertised items".. The items that were there (including pre-packaged and unpackaged items) were extremely old and not fresh. When you look at a "Prepackaged" item, such as sliced onions in your premier Kroger produce area, and the items are so old, they are beginning to decompose... This does not mean the items were not just "fresh", but the items are "growing" mold and other decomposing items. This is not just one or two of these items.. but nearly the whole shelf. If it makes you feel any better, I only purchased apples and romain lettuce.. In which was decently fresh. While understanding this store is under construction, I expect some flaws, but when you notice there is this harsh of conditions. I was able to locate multiple managers upon my visit. While I know they were busy... I attempted to speak with 2 of them.. the 1st one, ignored both me and my wife while we attempted to stop him MULTIPLE times.. (I have a loud voice, and have no problem using it, and expressing a concern, we both were unable to catch his attention.. Unfortunately, I consider the lack of attentativeness as "ignoring me".. I do not feel that I need to scream or jump up and down and wave my hands to get any attention of a manager.. The next manager was continously on his cell phone... we encountered this manager 4-5 times.. (about 2-3 more times than previous manager) and EVERY time, we was on his cell phone. Once again, I understand that business must take place.. But I can almost be certain that use of cell phones are against the company policy, especially when in view of customers.... I am not the boss, nor do I want to be.. but as a customer.. I will not visit this location again... If i want this poor of service, I will goto a wal-mart.... least their prices are lower than Kroger for the same quality of service.. (yes, I am that offended)..
Last of all.. I was going to visit your service desk, to have a manager paged.. or to leave a comment there... 5-6 people in line... with one representative.. Once again.. Why wait? probably going to have the same service...
Harsh words I know... but try being the customer... I KNOW you woudln't return..
-PS. This is the email I sent to Kroger on their Website about my visit.. Sorry to be so negative.. but I know what Kroger standards are.. and they are no where NEAR this... Even Walmart has higher standards...
Read moreSo here’s the thing, I have been shopping at this Krogers for over 7 years.
Over the past 6 months I have experienced major pricing discrepancies.
I’m going to update every instance.
For example:
September 3rd I rang up the below laundry detergent that’s listed for $8.99 and found that it rang up for $17.99.
September 8th I rang up potato salad on sale for $9.99 when it was listed on sale at $7.99.
On September 8th I spoke with Scott, a co manager, about the consistency of the pricing discrepancies after holding for 30 minutes.
He interrupted me stating that he believed me and asked how he could help me, almost as if the pricing discrepancies were irrelevant.
I said I would love to finish my conversation if he’d stop interrupting me and he said he didn’t have time and hung up.
(4) On September 20th, I attempted to buy potatoes salad on sale at $6.99 that rang up at $9.99
(5)Two times I have attempted to purchase the family size if the frosted mini wheats on sale at $3.99 but it rang up at $5.99.
On October 2nd when I attempted to buy the cereal, the lady running the self serve kiosk stated:
(i) it’s a digital coupon (it’s not). (ii) then she said all you have to do is look up the price on the app (it gives the incorrect price) (iii) I walked to the aisle with her and she said “well you keep coming up here” when I stated this happens every time I come up here. (iv) her attitude changed when she saw the sale price and said inventory needs to do better.
This happens so often that there’s 1 of 2 things going on: (I) this specific store has a highly incompetent management team or (I) Krogers is engaging in an illegal type of bait and switch pricing scheme in an attempt to boost margins.
Either way, consumers are being harmed because if you are buying a cart full of items you simply can’t remember the cost of every single item in your cart.
The price variance between the listed $8.99 and the $17.99 price it rung up at is over a 100% price variance/rip-off.
I’m seriously considering bringing a lawsuit against Krogers to hold them accountable for presumably millions they are taking from unaware customers.
I would strongly recommend you reconsider giving Krogers your business unless you have the time to conduct a pricing review...
