Avoid this place if you rely on your phone. Seriously.
My Pixel 7 got itself stuck in a boot loop. I took the phone here on a Sunday. The technician told me when this happens they need to replace the motherboard. None in stock but they could have one in by Wednesday. Not ideal, but OK. I asked how long the actual repair would take and I'm told 2.5-3 hrs. A week after the motherboard was set to arrive (now 10 days after starting this process), I called them for an update and was told the motherboard would arrive "any day now". The next day, Thursday, I called the Cedar Hill store to see if they had the motherboard in stock. They did not, but offered to call the Mansfield store to find out what's going on. The store manager from Cedar Hill told me Mansfield had just received the part. Coincidence?
Later Thursday afternoon, the Mansfield store called to schedule the repair for Friday at noon. I asked how long the repair would take and this time I'm told 1.5-2 hrs. Perfect. I planned to drop it off at noon, and I'll be able to pick it up after work.
I drop off the phone Friday at noon. I'm greeted by the gentleman I dealt with originally. Again, he said it would take 2.5-3 hrs to fix. He printed the receipt, and it had an estimated completion time of 3:45, almost 4 hours. I asked about that and he said the time wasn't accurate. It would most likely be ready on Saturday. That's a long longer than the original 2.5-3 hrs. Ugh.
So I don't hear anything further on Friday. I call at noon on Saturday (2 hrs after they opened), asking when the repair would be complete. The gentleman said the motherboard wasn't the issue, and they believed a new battery would resolve the issue. Of course no batteries in stock. I'm told it'll take until Tuesday/Wednesday to receive a battery. When I asked why I wasn't informed of this, they told me that they called me. My response - if I was called yesterday, why am I asking about it right now?
After going another full week without hearing anything, I called them back on Friday (now 19 days into the process), and I'm told they can't fix the phone and it needs to be sent to Google.
I understand troubleshooting phones can be difficult, and I also understand not all replacements parts are in stock, but the complete lack of communication / straight answers is unfortunate and frustrating.
Update - When I picked up the phone from Asurion, they told me I would not need any paperwork as to what was replaced/tested. Google has access to the repair work in their systems. Google Support claims this is completely false. They do not have access to...
Read moreI recently broke the screen on my Google Pixel 8 Pro. We specifically chose this place because it said online that they could repair it and my wife set an appointment for between 3pm and 4pm. I drive out of my way after work, show up at the scheduled time and the man tells me he doesn't have the screens in stock but can put in a rush order and have them in by 11 am the next day. I set an appointment for between 3pm and 4pm the next day because that's the soonest I can get there after work. The guy gives me a bar code sticker to put on the back of my phone so check in will be easier when I come back. Next day comes, same story, I arrive at the scheduled time. A different guy behind the counter this time. Scans the bar code and goes to talk to somebody behind the wall. Comes back with the story that the screens are still in transit and will be in some time in the next few days. I already told the first guy I was going to be out of town in a few days. That's why he supposedly put the rush order in.
Don't waste people's time. If you can't make the repair you say you can make and don't have the parts on hand then say so in the beginning. Two days I wasted while I needed to be taking care of other business when I could have gone to another place and had the phone repaired by now. Now I'll probably be stuck with a half functioning phone while I'm in Alaska for a week.
Made the mistake of returning to this place because Google extended the warranty on this phone model because of the many issues with screens on Google Pixel 8 and 9 models. On the latest visit 09/19/2025 the guy was very rude and dismissive, stating he wouldn't even talk to me without a claim through asurion even though it wasn't an asurion claim and they had replaced the screen there before on the Google extended warranty program. He went into the back room and wouldn't come back so I left to find another authorized dealer to repair my phone. A shame he wasn't as cool as his Mohawk...
Read moreI took my phone in on Friday. they took my phone and came back to tell me “they would need to order the part, since it was a back iphone 15 camera”. I told them great, I will be back tuesday being that’s my only off day. Brought my phone back and they told me “they got the part in and to drop my phone off for about 2 hours.” I asked them to confirm that what was broken was the camera lens. my camera still worked it just was looking through a cracked screen. they said “itll get taken care of.” i was confident in leaving it there and doing my errands. 2 hours go by i return for my phone. I turn on my camera to verify and now it’s fuzzy. like it had a finger print or dust on it. I showed the employee and he said that “the employee that did it had gone home. bring it back tomorrow to get it fixed.” i had to ask my parents to take my phone because i didn’t have another day off. so the following day, wednesday, my parents dropped my phone off, it was the same guy who knew about my issues. Once i got home, i checked my phone again, and it was still fuzzy. I called to store and explained to the same employee that it is still not resolved. Also the employee took off my screen protector on my phone (which they did not do the first time). he proceeded to tell me “well we can put it back on for a price” why did they have to take it off? it was the back camera not the front. I said my camera lens issue isn’t fixed, the employee then said “well it must be the camera itself and we don’t fix those.” Why wasn’t that expressed to me before fixing or before paying. He then offered a refund but would need to call me back because he was fixing another clients phone. i have not received a call about my refund. Once i get my refund i’m not coming back. The photo is proof my camera is...
