Mama's is always good eats. My first taste was back in 2002. This go round it has been a few years since I treated myself to their pies. I must've forgotten how huge the edge crust is. It's good but, about two inches of the thirteen inch takes away from the amount of space that sauce, cheese and toppings could cover. I was a little thrown when I saw the $22.73 charge after tipping 15%. I had to look at the site and see if that was right. Apparently they charge a .25¢ "to go surcharge" also. Is this a remnant from the covid era of To go orders only and why is it still applicable? For what I paid for my 11" pie, I would think the to go part would be free. This is a nice place. It was clean and the staff was very cool. Nine pm on a Sunday and I made my order to go as to not keep them any longer than necessary. I could tell they were ready to call it a night. Honestly, it may not be much but surcharges like that should be disclosed upfront. I wasn't informed of it, I didn't notice it as I scanned the menu and I had asked a lot of questions including what total would come to. Looking at it now I noticed my receipt total and what the site shows doesn't add up. I don't know where the confusion lies. I'll just have to pay closer attention when/if I make it back to that location.

I ordered pizza and wings from this place. It was door dashed to me missing an order of wings. When I called I was asked to go get them, okay that's annoying but someone went and got them. When I called whoever Adam is asked me if I was sure I didn't get them?? What? Then realized he only sent one of the two orders. Fast forward to eating the pizza. My sister bites down on her cheese pizza and pulls a toothpick out with her teeth! A TOOTHPICK! So I call again not asking for anything not needing anything, just to let the personnel know. But Adam felt the need to speak over me and tell me how he can't control what Doordash does when they get the food. Excuse me? It was baked into the pizza. I didn't want anything but to call and let them know, but Adam was wildly rude spoke to me like a child and blamed Doordash, so naturally now I'm livid. I still don't want a refund or any type of credit, I simply don't want this to happen to another customer.

Mama's is a great place. The employees are so kind and helpful. The atmosphere is very casual and relaxed. There are even a few arcades and a pingball machine. I lost my son to the games after veryfing that the pizza was on its way to the oven. We ordered the 20" Pepperoni and cheese with jalapenos, and mushrooms and black olives on one side. The taste of the pizza was good tending to be more towards the sweet than salty. Sort of like comparing Pizza Hut to Domino's. Domino's being the sweeter one. Not a bad thing just comparing flavors. The ends were less crunchy than I would prefer..just a bit too hard and chewy but still good. I sopped up the hotwing sauce with them...mmmm. The hotwings were decent. They have Pepsi products, yes! So over all I thought it was decent.

I never thought I would be able to say this, but there's officially a worse pizza restaurant than CiCi's. I've eaten at Mama's pizza maybe 15 times over the past 4-5 years, and the experience is identical every time. This indicates that it's not just a bad day or bad staffing on that day.

First, even if they just brought out a fresh pizza, straight from the oven to the buffet warmer, it's never hot. I've had my mouth burned (literally burned) 1000 times by pizza in my lifetime, but that will never be a worry here.

Second, the crust has the same consistency as the cinnamon rolls (more on that later). It doesn't taste like pizza crust should taste, it's more like a very, very tough, chewy pastry. It's the worst pizza crust I've ever tasted.

The toppings are average. No real complaints regarding the toppings except that the cheese seems to be different than cheese on other pizzas. I can't put my finger on it other than to say it tastes different than what I think it cheese on a pizza should taste like. I rate the cheese far below average.

The pizzas as a whole are very low quality. It's on par with cheap frozen pizza. The dessert, to which I've never seen anything but cinnamon rolls, are extremely low quality, too. They're not even as good as cinnamon rolls from a can at the grocery store. They're tough, chewy, fall apart easily, and have cheap cinnamon topping. Think of Cinnabon, then imagine the exact opposite of that, and you'll have a good idea what these cinnamon rolls are like.

The salad I cannot speak to because I've never had it. It appears to be a salad bar in the most basic sense (it is quite literally the smallest--in terms of physical space taken up--salad bar I've ever seen. It's smaller than my desk at work). I can't imagine that they screwed that up, but it looks like they put minimal effort into it.

The cause of all of this would indicate (1) ingredients, (2) procedure, or (3) execution. Since my experience is virtually identical every time, I'm going to rule out execution and say that it's not the staff that is responsible. I've never been to any other Mama's pizza before so I have nothing to compare it to, but I'm going to suggest that it's a combination of inferior ingredients (I can tell good cheese from bad cheese) and inferior recipes and procedure.

This is in my top 5 worst restaurants I've ever eaten at. So why have I eaten there 15 times in the last 5 years? Because it's close to my work, it's the cheapest buffet in town ($8.00 including tax, you literally can't beat that), my pallet isn't so sensitive that I can't stomach it, and the hope that each time I go, something has happened to correct the things that were wrong the last time I was there. And I probably will eat there again in...

Definitely was not impressed. AT ALL. We ordered at 06:20 last night, 09.04.2020, and only seen about six others order before ours. We did not get our pizzas until 07:55pm. It took an hour and a half for medium cheese pizza and medium cheese with spinach. Two simple pizzas took an hour and a half. I feel that is beyond ridiculous, especially when trying to feed a three year old. Never was it mentioned while ordering that it would be an hour and a half wait. We would not have chose to stay and try Mama's Pizza had we of known as we were feeding a toddler. If you are willing to wait, do know that the pizza will not be hot, out of the oven, but rather just warm. As well, the pizza is layered with grease like it came out of a fryer. And what you see pictured is not the spinach I had ordered, but rather a pizza with basil. Yes, after all of this- it was made wrong. Phone orders were prioritized so that is the route I'd take if you are willing to risk the experience. As far as sanitation is concerned, they are very dirty. Even in the pandemic, the establishment was over filled, there was no toilet paper or napkins in the restroom, and the tables were not sanitized or wiped between parties. Only trash was removed. Definitely no hurry or effort to provide customer satisfaction. And if you see this review and it persuades you to not go, which I hope it does, the owner would appreciate it. He made that clear when we asked for a discount after our experience and the best he could offer was a coupon card for our next visit. We let him know there would not be a next time from us and the response was "okay good". This interaction was between an employee and owner as the employee was used as the middle man. Never did we cause a scene, but did let the staff know we were very displeased with...

I have to take time out and rave about how much I love Mama’s in Mansfield. This is not my first time here, but today they knocked it out of the park for me. For those of you who are familiar with Mama’s I’m sure you’ve all signed up to be a Mama’s Insider. As you know Tuesdays is when they send out their deal for a 2 topping large pizza for $14. That being said; today was also the day our little book club decided to meet and take advantage of the deal. Along with another big family of about 15, people picking up pizza nonstop while we were there, and other patrons enjoying dinner with loved ones. My group included 7 adults and 4 children. The other big family group had children ranging in ages from toddler to preteen. For any smaller restaurant, that might be a lot, when you include smaller families walking in taking tables, but not for Mama’s Mansfield! Not once did I see any Mama’s Employee act annoyed or overwhelmed. In fact, every single Mama’s Employee had a smile on their face, remained polite, asked us if we needed anything, did not seem to mind that both families had moved tables around and took up the majority of the main dining area, and did not even bat an eye when children (mine included) cried. It’s places like these that will keep me coming back, because you truly feel welcomed. I was super impressed by everyone working there today. I hope you visit this location soon, and enjoy the same service I did. Oh, and their pizza is one of my favorite pizzas around!...
