Y Donuts — Restaurant in Mansfield

AVOID THIS PLACE! The service is awful. When I tried to order a strawberry donut and a kolache, the cashier rushed me and my daughter, despite the store being empty.

When my daughter eagerly reached for her donuts, the cashier abruptly snatched them back, insisting on a minimum purchase of $4. I found this interaction incredibly rude and informed her that I wouldn't be spending a penny there.

Additionally, the food looked unappetizing, and I regret not taking photos. Unlike most donut shops, they didn't even bother to warm up the kolache. I doubt this place will stay open for long. I highly recommend visiting Sunshine Donuts in Mansfield instead; their service and products are truly exceptional. We usually go to Sunshine, but we were running late for school. Not a wonderful experience. I usually give any place two chances in case the first was bad and a fluke. But I’ll never return here.

The meat containing products like kolaches and sausage croissants are not kept in the front like at most donut shops. Instead, they have a tray of “display purposes only” which looks like they’re weeks or even months old. I ordered two large kolaches. They went into the back to retrieve them. They looked nothing like the display, but given the displays looked rotten that’s probably a good thing. However the sausage had gone past it’s edible life and was sour smell and taste and was a tad slimy. I wasn’t going to risk eating it. I threw them away and went to another shop down the road where the food was edible and enjoyable.

This was my second time visiting the store and my kids each picked out their donuts. 2 or 3 were fine… the white ice with sprinkles this morning tasted like nail polish remover smells. Literally.
