Lessly provided a horrible service yesterday. I used the drive thru to get donuts for work and a kolache to eat after fasting for lab work. she greets me thru the intercom but interrupts me mid order to hold on a second. Ok. She returns, but asks for me to hold on again. When she finally takes my order I ask her for 1/2 dz donuts and a bold kolache plain. She states they ONLY come with cheese or cheese jalapeño even though the board says there's a plain option. I opt for the cheese because I need to eat as a diabetic and cant have the donuts. At the window she opens it and AGAIN asks me to wait. So at this point it feels like everyone else is more important than me. When I get my order (that I had to ask for a bag and bag myself) I break the kolache in half to find a big sliver of jalapeno. With no one in the drive thru I back up to the window and let Lessly know. She nonchalantly states "we must be out of cheese then", then asks if I want the lesser regular kolache. I ask for a refund for it instead. She then fixed her mouth to tell me to pull around and basically get at the end of the line because she has customers waiting behind me. For that reason, I gave her back the box of donuts too and told her I want the whole order refunded.
This young lady wasted my time and was the worst experience I've had at ANY location. If I could, it would be zero stars...
Read moreIt seems that the rest of the reviewers experience the same customer service I've been experiencing. Over the last couple of months, this location has given me so many problems. There has been a sign on the door encouraging customers to use the drive-thru, as the inside is "closed"? It looks perfectly fine to me, but I can deal with that. Yesterday evening, I redeemed a free reward that included glazed donuts! I also did the same thing again, Today around noon. I placed both orders for pickup at 4:30 pm for 5/20. While I'm in the drive-thru, I tell the lady I placed 2 online orders. She tells me to pull up to the next window! (I'm under the impression my orders went well) How wrong I was. She tells me that they "don't have any more glaze"!! I'm initially shocked, and then ask what other kinds do they have? As she's looking at the receipts for the orders, she tells me that the order was for glazed donuts, so I can't get anything else. I thank her, and pull off with disappointment. This isn't the first time something similar to this has happened, and I hope this location improves. In the meantime, I'll be taking my business to...
Read moreI have to agree with the reviews here. I did not look either before going. Who would? Its shipleys and you don't generally get bad service at these places.
I pulled up and very boldly was asked, 'may I take your order?' That went well.
I asked for 2 glazed donuts and just as I'm about to ask for a kolache as well, she erupts in laughter for about four seconds, doesn't apologize and starts carrying on a conversation with someone live on the intercom.
Stunned and not knowing if I was the butt of the joke or not, I just drove off.
In the same strip there is another donut shop that was there before they came. So, less than 2 minutes later, I'm in their drive thru. Ordered, went smooth, sweetest lady at the window and in less than 3 minutes more, I'm eating those glazed donuts and kolache I tried to order from shipleys moments ago.
Initially I feared this smaller donut shop would go under and wondered at the logic of the city to allow a 'big player' like shipleys next to a smaller, family owned donut shop. I figured they'd go under quickly.
My fears are unfounded. Shipleys is the one that appears...
