Beyond frustrated 😠 with the Manvel Smoothie King location!!!
Was passing through the area on Sunday March 23rd and stopped by to place an instore order. Bought two 32oz Gladiator smoothies. After leaving and sipping on my smoothie for a bit...a random, jagged, hard piece of white plastic filtered through my straw 🥤. Contacted the store immediately to report the issue, but there was no manager working that day. So I left my contact info and specifically asked if the GM or owner could give me a call, and I was told yes.
Then, Friday March 28th came and no one from the store still had returned my call. So I called the store again. Was told to leave my contact info and that someone would get back with me. About 10 minutes later, received a call from store manager Zoey. Explained the issue. Said she would refund my order over the phone and asked for me to have the receipt details and method of payment handy in order to process this. Which I did. We walked through the various receipt prompts, and then started on my method of payment details. Then randomly out of no where she says 'Actually, I'm like kinda busy right now. I'll have to call you back and do over this over again.' And then hung up. REALLY??? 😠 WTH did you just waste my time ⌚️??? That's very unprofessional and inconsiderate!!! If you didn't have time to talk to me, then you should have called me when you did have the time 💯. JS!
Fast forward to today, Wednesday April 2nd...still no call back. Even after another attempt on my end. This coming Sunday makes 2 weeks since the issue occurred with ABSOLUTELY NO RESOLUTION!
Needles to say, I won't ❌️ do business again at the Manvel location. Nor will I recommend this location to anyone in the area. 👎🏼👎🏼
One last thing...for this being a brand new location, employees are doing a 'fabulous' 👌🏻 job of keeping their workstation area filthy. Definitely an eye 👀 sore for customers to see when walking in, ordering, and waiting for...
Read moreI was really looking forward to having a Smoothie King close to home, but unfortunately, my experiences have been disappointing so far. On my first visit, it took over 30 minutes to make an açaí bowl, and they ran out of bananas—this was just a few days after the store opened. Hoping it was just opening jitters, I gave it another shot. On my second visit, I ordered an açaí bowl again, and it was completely melted before I even left the parking lot at Manvel Town Center.
I have to agree with a previous review that mentioned the need for additional training. The staff seems overwhelmed, and the quality is inconsistent. I’ve started driving all the way to Pearland for my Smoothie King fix because their açaí bowls stay perfectly frozen all the way home, even though I live in Manvel.

Read moreIt is extremely unprofessional to turn away a customer who is in your drive-thru line before you close! I was in line 3 minutes before closing time (with cars ahead of me). I got up to the speaker 2 minutes before closing time and had my order ready to go. The attendant did not come on the speaker until 1 minute before closing and informed me they were closed even though they had just let the car right in front of me place their order. On top of that, the drive-thru line is very narrow and twisted, so it’s not like it’s easy to reverse out of it. I had to wait until the cars in front of me were served before I could even leave.
