I would like to stay anonymous, but as someone who works for this establishment. I understand customers are definitely entitled to fresh food, having that fresh food served from a clean environment, and hospitality, but a customer is never entitled to a bad ass attitude as well. It is not our fault that we have a protocol and food guidelines to follow. We can’t cook food in bulk , if there is only 2 cars in the line. We can only make what’s appropriate for the current state of the store. We do not expect you to come through our line and order 4 Double Meats , 2 Kids meals, 6 Bacon & Chz, like no one is reading your mind before you come order, that is of course dealing with the meat in this case. Same thing goes with fries, Onion rings are cooked by the order, so I know half of you all are not being truthful, when you all say “It was cold”, but honestly with the drive thru complaints. If you don’t want to wait in line for 30 mins tell the car in front of you to stop ordering like the world is about to end. If you don’t want to wait 30 mins in line , tell the car in front of you when they get there food to pull up an inch and not check their 30- Bags of food in the line. If you don’t want to wait in line for 30 mins, KNOW WHAT YOUR GOING TO ORDER BEFORE YOU ORDER, especially if you’re waiting to get to the mic. We have a menu ONLINE. Anytime your getting trained, we have to ask you if you want ketchup some follow, some don’t but I have been on the mic and the same people who say they don’t want ketchup are the same people who wait till they get to the window to say “ I want ketchup”…. Curbside people. It’s really annoying when you order food worth $50-$80 and then check in as soon as you place the order, and then still feel like you have the entitlement to expect your food in 15 mins. Half of you complain and KEEP COMING BACK, and then want to compare us to other restaurants like please use the $20 that you use to put that gas in your tank and go there, Another thing i’ll like to add is for a bunch of adults , a lot of you act like kids, especially the ones who sit and eat in the lobby in large groups or families, you all wanna dictate about what we should be doing, dictate telling your children how to clean up a table after they spilled ketchup on it, Dictate telling your child how to pee correctly and not all over the floor and toilet seat. Dictate teaching your kids how to be clean and treat areas like their own cause the way you all act and talk to OTHER PEOPLE KIDS says a lot. Show respect to service people, especially those who make the food you all cry and whine about.

I figured I'd give them a chance, and yeah no this place clearly casually delivers the lowest quality. I've had massive disagreements and a variety of quality problems in other whataburgers across the state. This place impressively keeps service and food a full standard lower than my worst experiences.
I did an online order of a simple whataburger on Texas toast with extra sauce. When I arrived, I waited for about 8 minutes and a server arrived with the wrong bag. I shared a worried look with the person parked next to me whom I believe left without her food out of frustration.
Consistent with other reviews, my order came out over 20 minutes after the late estimate.
Inconsistently, they got my order right! Eh not quite. Forgetting the sauce on the burger, they just threw a sauce packet in the bag. Also put on the groddiest feeling Texas toast I've encountered. Felt old and crumbly. Frankly, I didnt eat it.
But I did make a critical mistake; I came to this restaurant hungry, because I ate nearly all the fries. I regret that deeply. Like 60% they have a health code violation in that fryer. At first, I thought it was fine, because they over did most of them, so they were crispy. Nah, there were 8 or so random fry batches in there. I stopped chewing three times from being distributed by weird taste or texture. One felt weeks old, like a stale hot fry. Another was wayyy too sweet. The other was distinctly nutty. After convincing myself to just go hungry instead of eating more fries, I noticed a metallic taste that wouldn't go away. That was on top of notes of overused fry oil and nuttiness again.
Well, that meant I needed to wash it down. Too bad! My server forgot the straw.
Overall, I'd say the ratings are deserved entirely. If you want the restaurant equivalent to a haunted house, come on by. If want to eat, go somewhere else. I went immediately to the whataburger north of this location and WOW the difference. Go...

Whataburger is my favorite burger place so when I heard there was going to be a new location opening up here in manvel I was ecstatic. I have now been to this location 5 times and every single time I was not given a receipt I had to ask for one and 2 of the times I asked and had to wait 5 minutes before they came back to the window with one. The first time I visited this location the cashiers were very friendly and nice. The last couple of times they weren’t as friendly but still nice. Now the food was fresh and delicious on the first couple of visits but the last couple of times the fries were cold on one occasion and on the other the fries and chicken sandwich tasted like they were cooked in old oil. I asked them to cut my chicken sandwich in half and When I open my sandwich the sandwich was cut uneven and just thrown together. I had to reassemble the sandwich in order to eat it. The fries were brown and the chicken on the chicken sandwich was very dark from the old oil. On another visit I had their breakfast on a bun meal and again the hash browns tasted like they were cooked in old oil and the egg on the breakfast sandwich was brown and over cooked. With this being a new location that just opened up only a month ago they shouldn’t be already having this problem. I blame the management! There is no reason the food should be cold or taste old and greasy and no reason you shouldn’t be given out receipts. I feel like my money was wasted. Please do better! If I’m giving you money I except a decent meal. Until then I guess I will have to drive to Pearland to get a good tasting...
